WWCJR Posted April 6, 2009 #26 Share Posted April 6, 2009 My family and I will be sailing the CP in a couple of weeks and I also appreciate your taking the time to post. Could you please check the Terrace Pool and let us know if it has steps with a banister to walk into the pool or does it have the step ladder on the side of the pool that u climb up and down. My Mom will be with us and I was wondering if there was easy access in and out of the pools. Here is a picture of the CB Terrace Pool. As you can see it is stairs with a handrail into this pool. LoraJ Posted April 6, 2009 Author #27 Share Posted April 6, 2009 It's the start of our first sea day and we area getting ready to ry out the Sabatini's breakfast. I want to address the movement of the ship. All of the talk of it rocking had me worried. Those sailings must have had a lot of wind or something. On a scale of smooth to bobbing like a cork, I would put the conditions right now as on the smooth side. It is as someone else mentioned, like riding on a train. But a slower motion. This is nothing compared to what I have experienced in the past. Also there have been a lot of complaints about noise in this cabin, R411, but it hasn't bothered me much, so far. I live in a condo though and am used to hearing other people walk around. I'm going to try and take better pictures today. Not happy with my current selection. lol. Here's one of the sunny sides of the Sanctuary. Going to see about getting a day pass here on my birthday. :) And here is the balcony: And this is for my mom:

cruzinsusan Posted April 7, 2009 #36 Share Posted April 7, 2009 Hi and Happy Birthday! Just wondering if you could tell me, between the Island & Coral Dining rooms, which one has more tables for 2? Also, can you confirm that the Crown Grill dress code is smart casual for Formal Nights. Thank you so much for taking the time to post and for the gorgeous pictures. We sail her in just a couple weeks, and I can hardly wait!

kkpcruiser Posted April 7, 2009 #39 Share Posted April 7, 2009 Silly question...is shuffleboard still on the CB? I cannot remember where it was before...maybe up near the old minigolf location. I would love to know if it still exists......kind of a special tradition we manage to get in on every cruise we take:D! Thanks in advance!
LoraJ Posted April 7, 2009 Author #40 Share Posted April 7, 2009 Hello again! Checking in to answer some questions. Had a relaxing day at sea today. Found a great location for sun bathing around where the sanctuary is. Easy access to the Lotus pool. Love it! Tonight was the first formal night. We had half buffet, half room service. Food was delicious. The seafood buffet was tonight (Monday). Did not look like the pictures I have seen on this site. They had a bowl of lobster claws, but I did not see crab. DH got a plate full form the buffet. I am not a huge seafood fan so I got most of my meal from room service. I had the filet mignon. We'll try out one of the AD dining rooms tomorrow. We had breakfast in Sabatini's this morning. It was good, but I don't know if we will go back. It was actually pretty busy when we were there. Not sure who the captain is. Will check and report back. Casino tip: Don't forget to cash out before you leave your machine. The credits do not go back automatically on your card. Have seen some machines left with credits in them. I am wondering if they have done away with calling ahead for AD dining reservations. In Patters that I have seen online, it mentions calling ahread and making one, but there is nothing mentioned in our patters. I may try it tomorrow, if not, no biggie. If they don't anymore, I know many here will be happy. :) I just signed up for On Deck for the Cure. So that program is still going on. Susan, I will look into the Crown Grill dress code on formal nights. Sabatini's had a formal night sign out front today. I have not seen shuffelboard. I will check around some more. This evening I saw Joshua Seth, the hypnotist. Pretty entertaining. I'm off to see if there is a midnight buffet or something... Tomorrow is Aruba. We don't have anything planned. Was thinking of going to a beach, but may just do some quick shopping and chillax at my fave spot on the ship.
HLR Posted April 7, 2009 #41 Share Posted April 7, 2009 Hello! You said that you had breakfast in Sabatini's. Is that because you have a special suite or can anyone go there? HLR

cruzinsusan Posted April 7, 2009 #45 Share Posted April 7, 2009 Hi Lora, Just had to comment on your cc signature...I'm so jealous. I thought the pic you posted must have been of your family (lol) then I looked closer! You did the Ships & Dip with the Barenaked Ladies, how cool. They are my favorite band of all time. Don't want to get off topic, but could only imagine how much fun that cruise must have been and had to tell you that you are my kinda girl! :) Thanks again for answering so many of our questions and taking the time to post. Hope you are having a fantastic time.

LoraJ Posted April 7, 2009 Author #49 Share Posted April 7, 2009 Hi everyone. We are now sailing towards Bonaire after a lovely day in Aruba. We did not do much. Just walked around and window shopped. Then I spent the afternoon at the pool and also relaxing on the balcony. I attempted to make an AD reservation for tonight and she said yes, but she wouldn't give us a table for 2, only with other people. So I said to cancel that. Maybe I called too late in the day? Or they really are just not doing it anymore. I feel like I just left a car dealership. I went to the Spa and was looking at their table of specials for Bonaire. Someone asked if I wanted to book the ladies special, and I said I was hoping for something like that on my birthday. She then said she would book me for a full body massage and facial for my birthday. Sounds good. Well, then she gives me the card, I seem to only be booked for a 79 minute full body massage. I actually wanted a facial more. So I think I will go back tomorrow and see if I can just get a facial. One of the anti-aging ones so that I will look 30 again. ;) Up ahead tonight, I think I may watch Seven Pounds on MUTS. They are also showing Slumdog Millionare in the main theater. Colo Cruiser Posted April 7, 2009 #50 Share Posted April 7, 2009 Thanks for the updates. Try going to dinner and requesting the table on the spot when you get there, sounds like you need to make your wishes known a little louder. ;) Or stop by Traditional and speak with the MD, he is always there when dinner starts.
