Can you downgrade after booking?

On Liberty we're booked in a CAT H oceanview, but the price for lower category oceanview with a better location is $80 P/P less. Can I call and "downgrade" to a better cabin? Or can you only upgrade?

I believe you can make any change you want without penalty as long as you do it before final payment.

I just changed the category of my balcony to save money on my June cruise after final payment with no penalty.

Cool, when I booked there were no cabins in this category, so I figure I can save a little bit of cash and get a more convenient cabin.

Sure...we downgraded from a JS to a D1 balcony cabin. RCI adjusted the amount I still had left to pay. The travel insurance price went down as well, because it is based on the price of the cabin.

After final payment, it can sometimes be up to the person you talk to (at least in my experience).
