My DW. and I just booked a 10 day Eastern Caribbean Voyager cruise on the Ruby Jan 9 2010. Has anyone done the Traditional Dining in the Botticelli dining room? If so can you reach that dining room from central part of deck 6 ? Is the Lotus Spa Pool available to all passengers or is there a surcharge? Thanks for your help.:D

We had late traditional on the Ruby.

You can only access Botticelli from the aft elevators down to deck 6.

On deck 6 you cannot go anywhere but the dining room.

The elevator opens up just outside the entrance.

Nope, you have to go upstairs to 7 and then aft and then downstairs to 6.

The Lotus Spa pool is adults-only, and is completely free. You get to it by walking through the spa but you don't have to stop at the desk or anything.

Thanks for the information on the Botticelli dining room; that is kind of what it looked like on the deck plan; have seen the the same thing on other ships , makes it a little difficult to get there.:(

Thanks; sounds like a good place for us mature adults to hang out!:D

Do the Ladies and Men's changing rooms have showers and electric outlets for hair dryers?

This would be nice for my DW who doesn't want to disturb me when I'm taking a nap before dinner.

Is the Lotus Pool accessible by elevator? When I look at pictures, it looks like you have to do a set of stairs to get to it. I'd love for my mom to be able to enjoy that area and she can't manage stairs anymore.

Thanks!

Mona

Oops, sorry, we'll be on the CB......

Not too bad but just before the dining room opens there is a large crowd that extends up the stairs. Clears out quick though.

I like the tables near the aft windows in the back of the room. :)

We had early traditional and never had a problem getting to the dining room. Would always walk through the photo gallery on deck 7 to check out the photos and then just walk down the one set of stairs. We usually got there right at 6 or just after and never a line up.

I know the spa changing rooms have showers along with steam and sauna rooms. I can't say for sure if they have electric outlets and/or hair driers...

The Lotus Spa can be reached by the forward elevators. Once there, you do have to go up three or four steps and then down two or three steps to actually get into the Lotus pool...

Is there a surcharge for adults to use the Sanctuary, or is it free access?

There is a charge to use the Sanctuary on all Princess ships. The lotus spa pool, however, is not actually part of the sanctuary, so there is no charge for that. That pool is adults only.
