Dragon's Lair On Mariner

Recommended Posts

Hi, I was just looking at the deck plans and it shows a place called the Dragon's Lair, and it doesn't specify what it is. Could someone let me know what the Dragon's Lair is? It's on decks 3 & 4.

Kerrie, Dragon's Lair is a two story nightclub. The center part, over the dance floor, is open so you can look down from the second floor.

Your signature indicates you cruised on Voyager. They had the same thing.

I must have been totally clueless as to miss this on Voyager in 2003. Thank you so much for the info. I will definitely make an effort to visit the Dragon's Lair.

The upstairs entrance is a glass doorway in the Schooner Bar. When you enter the Schooner Bar from the Casino, the entrance is on your left. Downstairs, the doors lead out to the forward Centrum/stairs area. I believe there is also a hidden back door that leads out to the outdoor promenade.

If there is a hidden door to the outside deck (I am not aware of this), it has to be on the upstairs level, not downstairs.

I found it on the Navigator, so I'm assuming they all have it. On the upstairs level, opposite corner from the Schooner Bar entrance, there was a small hallway that led to an unmarked door. The door led out to the outdoor promenade.

I know something you don't about this class???!!!! SCORE!!!!!! :D

Also, Its adults only. I saw many parents trying to get their teenage children into the dragon's lair on my last mariner cruise, but security would not budge. Also, this is a hang out spot late at night for the officers and upper level crew members. Its definitly a fun spot if you are night owl

Yeah they are great looking clubs. However, last year on our Mariner sailing we checked in down there several times around midnight or a little later and the place was dead. Not sure if it gets up and going even later than this or not??? As far as the club layout and design its top notch!!!

I have already told my sister and her husband about going to the Dragon's Lair--they loved the name (Gamers). I did check the deck plans for Voyager after AquaHound gave me the heads-up and I did see the name was the Vault. I will definitely check the club out--the secret door info I will also pass along for anyone adventurous in our party;).

What is the name of this club on the Freedom? Do they really play disco music? If not, what kind of music do they play?

Freedom I believe is the Crypt.

Earlier in the night they play 70s/80s/Motown, stuff kinda like that. As it gets later, they switch into hip hop / dance music -- current stuff that is popular among the younger set.
