kris12 Posted June 13, 2009 #1 Share Posted June 13, 2009 Ok, am I missing something? RC does not appear to be sailing out of Galveston after mid-april 2010. Anybody have any insight on this?
TEXASMUNK Posted June 13, 2009 #2 Share Posted June 13, 2009 Is completely misguided. They think the ship belong sin the Med for the spring and summer. They have kicked us to the curb for spring, summer and fall. If you look at dec 2010, Voyager returns.
Texas Teen Posted June 13, 2009 #3 Share Posted June 13, 2009 That's because Royal Caribbean dosn't think we need a ship here year-round!!!   Grrrr  They need to think of Texas' high population! They have enough ships!
klingoncruiser Posted June 13, 2009 #4 Share Posted June 13, 2009 There are several holes still in the 2010 dates. I am not sure what is up. I like so many others would like to see at least ONE ship on the gulf coast year round. Galveston would be a nice place to do that. (Tampa is just another Florida port)
kruzerci Posted June 14, 2009 #5 Share Posted June 14, 2009 I'd like to see one based in Galveston or New Orleans year round, too, but apparently it just is not profitable enough to be one of Royal's top priorities. Maybe with the introduction of two new ships there will be some wiggle room to move a ship out there. But same thing as the LA short cruises, I wouldn't hold my breath, the CEO has said that they just don't bring in the money that others do. kris12 Posted June 15, 2009 Author #6 Share Posted June 15, 2009 Thanks for the info. I don't like it but I do appreciate the responses. I'm planning a cruise with my sister and two other women in May 2010 and we didn't want to have to pay airfare as well. We could drive to New Orleans and I only live about an hour outside of Galveston.
