Things to Do in San Pedro

Hello Everyone,

Our cruise stops for the day in San Pedro at the WCC. Other than going into Los Angeles, what might be interesting to see and do in the area? Thanks for any suggestions.

If you want to stay close to the cruise port (San Pedro), then right in that area you can visit both the Los Angeles Maritime Museum and the Cabrillo Marine Aquarium, and perhaps have lunch at Ports 'o Call Village. You can also visit the Lane Victory (last of the WWII Victory ships) at the next pier north from the cruise ship pier.

A little further (about a 10 mile cab ride) in Long Beach would be the Aquarium of the Pacific, Shoreline Village, and The Pike. You could also throw in a tour of the Queen Mary in Long Beach.

I looked on the SanPedro website and they mentioned at the 22nd St. Landing or Pier, Whale Watching starting Jan. 1 for $15 adults. I have not contacted the company to get more details yet.

Does anyone have any 1st hand experience with that ?
