Cubans

Recommended Posts

If you ask around onboard, you can find out where the legitimate shops are. The officers will know. That said, it's hardly worth the money since you can't bring them back into the states.

Keep in mind that Cuban cigars are illegal to be brought into the US. If you declare them they will be confiscated and if you don't declare them you can get in trouble. So.... if you find them for sale make sure you smoke them all before returning to the US. :D

Do you have a favorite brand?

If you do (or even if you don't), go to this website:

http://www.cigaraficionado.com/Cigar/CA_Counterfeits/Counterfeit_Gallery/0,3390,,00.html

and print out the Bands for each kind and be sure to check for Counterfiets.

There are probably more counterfiets out there than Genuine Cubans.

Hope This Helps.

Also, at big cruise ship ports, they know Americans are looking for Cubans and have the priced jacked up. It's funny to hang around cigar stores ... lots of guys come up with the chests puffed looking for cubans and silently slink away when they aren't a buck or two (or ten) per stick.
