I asked Princess if I would get those coupon book that is much talked about on these boards, and I was told that they did not give them out:mad:. I found out from here that they were given out by travel agents. You would think that pasengers would be grateful if Princess would give them out with each booking.

I was hoping that someone out there had an extra coupon book that they did not use:). I will be on the Golden on July 18.

We sailed on the Crown Princess last Jan. to the Caribbean and they had a "Ports Meeting", whereby they gave you this notorious "Coupon Book". The Meeting was not advertised before cruizing (so look/ ask for it after you start sailing)... It covered all the ports in the Caribbean. Wasn't but so good, but not bad either... You could get some free t-shirts and canvas tote bags from some of the stores in the ports...Maybe some other deals, depending on what you are buying... Good Luck!

The books that travel agents give their clients are different then those given out by Princess. For example friends had coupon books (each passenger got one) that included a coupon for buy one coffee card get a second one free. Since they did not need 4 coffee cards with only one coffee drinker they gave a coupon to us. Not sure what else is in the book.

This is exactly what I was looking for. I was hoping a big group had received the coupon book that did not use them. I think there was a couple other coupon that I wanted, but the coffee coupon is what I really, really would like.

Do you receive this coupon in your cabin? I heard on these boards that the coupon that has the buy one get one coffee card is the one that travel agents give out. I would be very happy if I get even one of these coupon book when we get to our cabin. Can anyone comment who cruised after Feb 1, 2009 what kind of coupon you got in your cabin?

So far as I am aware (as a part time TA and frequent Princess sailor), that coupon book is the one given out by TA's during "cruise week" sales. The one that Princess gives out is not worth the paper it is printed on unless you are a shopaholic and spend hundreds of dollars on things that most people don't want. I think I just threw out about ten of the silly things a few days ago when I drug out the suitcases to get ready for our next cruise.

We are elite on Princess, got our first coupon book last cruise on a TA on the Ruby. To be honest, my first reaction was so-so. But we did save a few dollars on pictures and copies of the DVD. So if I get a booked okay, if not okauy too.

It really all depends on what you buy on the ship.

We don't buy jewelry. Don't care for the logo items. Don't gamble much, don't use the spa etc. We are elite, already get free internet and 10% off in the botique.

We sailed Feb. 16 this year. We got the old valueless coupon book. I went through it several times to make sure that coffee card coupon wasn't there! :(
