I run my State Lottery... you give me a dollar, I give you 55 cents return. I even give the school system its cut. All I keep is the "administrative expenses." You can't win it if you're not in it.
texaridian Posted August 1, 2009 #30 Share Posted August 1, 2009 The casino can be so addictive. In the evenings, there is generally a few minutes between dinner and time to head for the show. Not time to do much of anything...but! Ah ha! There's always time to throw a few coins in the machine! I love it. I like the games that have bonus rounds and make it fun. I would much rather play a game that pays low amounts frequently rather than higher amounts only occasionally. Someone told me once that to find the machines that pay lower, frequent amounts, look at the max payout for a win. The machines with the lower max payouts will have more small payouts. And vice-versa, machines with a high maximum winning figure will pay out bigger amounts but not so often. Has anyone else ever heard this? Is there any truth to it? madison quest Posted August 1, 2009 #31 Share Posted August 1, 2009 hi gloria, yes i have to admit that i too play the slots even when not on a cruise, unfortunatly! or fortunatly!, we live near a sea front with lots of temptation in the form of slots.. i won £545 on rainbow riches this week though so that was a good time:D
Victress2007 Posted August 12, 2009 #32 Share Posted August 12, 2009 Has anyone seen whether or not there are any community slots on board? They're usually really low denominations but all the connected machines can give a bonus round. Lots of fun and takes some of the "zombie" out of playing slots. LadyQuasi Posted August 14, 2009 #33 Share Posted August 14, 2009 I spend 3-4 hours a night at the Casino and I love it! I had noticed that the slots were looser during the day and got tighter at night though! We're doing the AOS in 7 weeks, hopefully they have good slots! I remember having a lot of fun on the penny ones and the diamond ones. I usually lose about 40$ a night and it's totally worth it for all the fun I get out of bonuses! shalornew Posted August 15, 2009 #34 Share Posted August 15, 2009 From what I understand, you use to tip at casinos when the slot machines where placed in a circle and there was an attendant stationed in the center of them, He or she would point out a machine that was due to "Hit". If they directed you to it and it won, useally you tipped them from your winnings. Did not matter if you had lost before. Now with the cameras and money cages and stuff like that, the attendents were done away with. cruzin w chris Posted August 16, 2009 #35 Share Posted August 16, 2009 I'm with unklez on this one. Don't feel obligated to tip a hand pay. Many people do not tip a hand pay. Don't sweat it. i have tipped on hand pays many times and on the other hand i have not depending how iam doing over all. if i am up or down just a little then i certainly will, but if i am wayyyy down and i win a little back at the last minute then i may not. CRUISE4JANE Posted July 20, 2011 #37 Share Posted July 20, 2011 You should not feel compelled to tip a slot machine - win or lose :D[/quote I don't feel compelled to tip, but I have won a few $1250 jackpots and gave $20-$25. The last time I forgot and when I went back a week later, I asked for the attendant because I wanted to give her the tip. No one working there knew her (her name was on the slip I received for winning the jackpot). After trying for a couple of weeks, I just gave up. Guess she thought I was a tightward . CRUISE4JANE Posted July 20, 2011 #38 Share Posted July 20, 2011 Yo Eleven: How would you feel if you won $2500 with 3 tabascos (quarter machine) got off and hopped to another machine and someone jumped on the machine you just left and hit the Jackpot of 3 tabascos again. It happened to me. I sure was mad at myself . So in some instances, it is not a good thing to hop. Yet, I have tried hopping before and sometimes it works. You just don't know what to do. Decisions, decisions, decisions !

Then they could download them back into another slot machine when they are ready to play again. Don't forget to mention to cash out on the last day of the cruise.
