Biff215 Posted May 9, 2004 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2004 We are spending the first week of our honeymoon at Disney before heading off on the Mariner of the Seas. We have already booked Tiffany Towncar for our transportation. We were planning on arriving at the Port at the earliest possible time so that we could be on the ship and relax. However Tiffany warned me that if we arrive too early, they may not even let us into the Port. What time would you recommend as the earliest to show up at Port Canaveral? Any help would be greatly appreciated! -Brian
KEG21552 Posted May 9, 2004 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2004 When are you going. We are going next week and I will let you know. I have heard around 11 or 11:30. Some of our group is heading down then, but I won't be there until around 1:00. I will post when we get back and let you know the difference as far as lines etc. Happy Honeymoon. FOXTROT Posted May 9, 2004 #3 Share Posted May 9, 2004 In March we arrived at the port at about 11:30. They made us wait till after 12:00 before letting us in. Some one told us a ship arrived late so put everyone back. Enjoy your cruise. Florida Beach Posted May 9, 2004 #4 Share Posted May 9, 2004 Orlando is 45 minutes away from Port Canaveral, on good traffic day. I would say leaving Orlando at 11:00AM would be perfect Have a great trip March 28, 2004 - Mariner of the Seas
Biff215 Posted May 9, 2004 Author #5 Share Posted May 9, 2004 We originally booked Tiffany Towncar to pick us up in Orlando at 10:00. Should we change this to 11:00 to be safe?
kc320 Posted May 9, 2004 #6 Share Posted May 9, 2004 I think you will be fine with the 10:00. Unless the ship is late they usually are letting cars in by 11:00 Halloween on the Serenade
39august Posted May 9, 2004 #7 Share Posted May 9, 2004 Depends on whether you want to wait at the hotel or at the pier. We have always gotten on all our cruises before 12 noon, except for once in Alaska and that was 12:30. Personally, I'd rather be early and wait at the pier in case you are allowed to start boarding at 11 AM. Mostly it depends on how the cruise terminal is set up and whether there are any delays in passengers departing the ship. This is day one of your cruise. Might as well get on and get started ASAP! Candleonwater Posted May 9, 2004 #8 Share Posted May 9, 2004 We left Disney at 9:30, arrived in PC around 10-ish... had time to go shopping at a dive store before being let into the parking lot at 11. Had a great time getting on the ship early and being able to explore. <MARQUEE>Navigator of the Seas March 26, 2005</MARQUEE> Mariner of the Seas 4/11/04 Disney Magic 12/01/
