Frankie Sue Posted August 19, 2009 #1 Share Posted August 19, 2009 I am trying to get familiar with the Celebrity Mercury and while checking the deck plans for the ship, I notice that the Website asks whether I am looking at deck plans for "before or after" a certain date in 2010. Does that mean that in the Spring of 2010, the Mercury's deckplans are due to change? Does that mean that a refit is planned?? If that is the case, then the Ship would become more appealing as a choice for our 2010 cruise. I look forward to your comments.

Usually when they do that it is because there is a change of categories and not necessarily a drydock...

Just speculation on my part...

Most of the more 'mature' Celebrity ships will change to a new category / pricing structure in April 2010. Basically they will re-price the 'better' Veranda, Concierge Class, and Sky Suite cabins into a higher priced category. For example, the 'sweet 16' verandas on the Mille, Connie, Infinity, and Summit. The aft Concierge Class cabins. The four awesome Concierge Class cabins up on the Sky Deck on Mercury...etc. Just another way for Celebrity to make more revenue. :)

They go very fast so if one of them is available grab it..

Hi Dee:)....no, nobody knows....I am guessing the itineraries are not released for beyond that time right now and/or they have not decided what she is going to be doing after that date. When I say nobody knows, I mean nobody on here knows. The people in Miami HQ might know but no news has come out from there.

There is a repositioning cruise on April 19th which will be probably be at least two weeks. It may be sold out or just taken off the web site for some reason. I found this in the roll calls where there is an active roll call for April 19, 2010.
