  1. If it were me I would choose 9299 or 8345 for the corner location and veranda, with 9299 as a first choice being a higher deck. JMO.
  2. Thanks for the corrections. I am aware that waitlisted categories show a pricing for comparisons. Wasn't thinking if the last pricing on a sold out category was lower than the original purchased fare then a reprice would make sense.
  3. Sorry - meant morning hours until 11:00. My error. Good catch.
  4. As @Biker19 indicated as D+ you are provided 5 vouchers on your SeaPass card that can be used during a 24 hour period at any bar (except Bionic Bar), including the Crown Lounge (ex-Diamond Club). They are automatically refreshed on your SeaPass card daily. Any unused vouchers during that 24 hours are lost and not carried over to the next day. Unused vouchers can be used prior to the next day for any unopened canned or bottled beverage which can be taken back to your room for another day. BTW you always had access to the Diamond Club as Diamond. The only time that was not the case was if they were overcrowded, at which point they typically opened up another venue to accommodate the overflow. It was as a result of this that the vouchers were initiated. The current Crown Lounge typically hours are 5:00 - 8:30 for cocktail service and canapes. The Concierge typically has hours there from 11:00 - 1, and during the cocktail hours. The Crown Lounge is open anytime for self service coffees and typically pastries in the morning.
  5. The only time you would reprice a cruise is if the stateroom category that you booked into had a fare decrease after you booked it. You then would contact whomever you booked through and they could adjust your booking to reflect the lower fare. But if a stateroom category is indeed sold out then there would no longer be any fare reduction within that category, and therefore would no longer be an opportunity to get a fare adjustment. The cruise line could only adjust a fare to a category that has inventory actively selling that was at a lower fare than you paid. If additional inventory in your category should subsequently open up and was at a lower fare, you could then ask for an adjustment.
  6. As you suggest and as I mentioned before, there could be many reasons not related to a non-ship excursion for those who have been late to get back and have missed the ship. While that situation would certainly be in the mix, it's an unverified assumption to make that videos of those who missed the ship were the result of an independent excursion being late.
  7. ....and my request would to hold them! LOL They certainly will try to please their guests.
  8. Most visitors to Cozumel aren't aware that there is a mostly undeveloped back side to the island which is quite attractive in its raw beauty. Along with the good suggestion by @cruiseaholic777you may also want to look into the Cozumel Bar Hop, which as the name implies, takes you to several establishments that are built on the island's back side, which based on having their own power source, are only open during the day. It is an interesting tour, but it is independently booked and not offered (in our experience) by the ships. Here is their website link: https://cozumelbarhop.com/ In Costa Maya, there is an all inclusive beach resort called Maya Chan that was developed a number of years ago by an experienced US cruising family that wanted to offer a day pass experience that was built to serve cruisers who were looking for that type of alternative and would be secure in the knowledge that the pick up and return to the pier area would be timed correctly to assure no concerns about returning to the ship on time. It is very well run and, in our multiple visit experience, well worth doing. It too is independently booked. Here is their link: https://costamayabeachresort.com/ Just a couple of alternative ideas to consider.
  9. That pool is quite large and has corresponding large seating areas to accommodate the crowds. But the swim up bar can get crowded as it is limited in how many people can be seated at one time. But in general, CocoCay with the two ships that were there had a maximum passenger capacity of about 8,400 people and CocoCay is designed to handle 12,000. It is unlikely that both ships were at maximum capacity (which is every available bed filled to lifeboat capacity) so overall it should not have been too crowded in any one area. (Except maybe the swim up bar - LOL).
  10. As long as the passenger names, flight numbers, and times for each leg are correctly identified then you should not have any issue. But if you want to confirm everything, here is the number for FBC to call: 1-800-533-7803
  11. Glad you enjoyed CocoCay! Have to laugh, however, as we have been there 6 or 8 times with RCCL since 1992, from when it more resembled a tendered deserted island to the massive waterpark it has become today. And in none of those visits did we receive anything resembling the goody bag that Celebrity is apparently issuing to its guests with their early visits. Not even a "Welcome to CocoCay" note - LOL. But that actually is a nice gesture. I am certain, as RCI has developed CocoCay primarily as a family venue, that Celebrity is monitoring responses and island activities from its' guests closely to assure that their primarily adult market enjoys the island as well. Enjoy the rest of your cruise!
  12. Very sorry for your situation as that is indeed difficult to deal with, complicated by your cruise situation. At this point, as others have mentioned, I think your only option is to call RCCL and ask to have your situation elevated to a supervisor and see what, if any, options you may have. Unfortunately you are inside the full penalty phase with your booking. But at least in that manner you will be dealing with someone other than a line rep who may be in a better position to determine if, on an individual basis, anything can be done to preserve at least some the money you have conveyed. Edited to add that you don't mention if you booked this directly or through a travel agent, and my response is with the assumption that you booked directly. If you did use a TA contact them as they would be the ones who would discuss this with RCCL on your behalf.
  13. I agree completely - their reputation is on the line with their timing. And while there are videos of the occasional cruiser who have missed their ship, there are any number of reasons why that may not necessarily be due to an independent tour operator. In 50+ cruises we have witnessed it twice on a ship we were on. It is indeed rare. I also realize there is a first time for everything and I will never say never, but that being said, we haven't booked a ship sponsored tour in 30 years and have never missed or been close to missing our ship's departure from a port of call. But as said by others, to each his own.
  14. If the booking were to be canceled you likely could reinstate it, but it also likely would be at the current stateroom fare and associated promotions. That actually is one additional advantage of booking through a TA as they will track payment dates and remind you ahead of time. Often they will actually process the payment a few days or so ahead of time to assure there are no issues in processing your payment.
