Did a Seabourn Ship visit Israel last week?

I hope you don't mind me asking, but I am just back from a Celebrity Silhouette cruise, which had its Israel stops cancelled

While on-board, a cruise locator had a Seabourn Cruise docked at Ashdod, can anyone confirm this, and if so, were passengers allowed ashore?

Can't answer your question, but where did your cruise go instead of your planned Israeli stop?

We were on the Sojourn last week and Israel wasn't in the itinerary. The Seabourn ship locator on the TV in our room showed the Quest doing a transatlantic and the Odyssey closer to N. America. Must have been a glitch.

Not last week, but Sojourn is supposed to be in Haifa tomorrow, and Ashdod the day after.

She's leaving the Med this week via the Suez Canal ready for her winter itineraries.

Hopefully someone who is actually onboard can post and confirm.

On sojourn. Currently on a trip to Dead Sea from Haifa. Silver wind and Thomson spirit also in port. Still scheduled for Ashdod tomorrow but know that Thomson spirit rescheduled Ashdod for Haifa. As far as aware all trips running including Jerusalem.

I have friends on the current Sojourn itinerary and they visited Jerusalem yesterday (without incident, thank goodness)

Are you on a ship excursion? Any visible security that is part of the excursion?

Stopped as scheduled in both Haifa and Ashdod. We did our own overnight in Jeeusalem with rented (hired) car from Haifa and drove around without any problem. Other than seeing lots of security, you'd never know there had been any problems. Also saw a Silversea and a Thomson both in Haifa.

You can track any ship, anywhere on marinetraffic.com. Just enter the ship name into the search. It also shows past ports. It's a great way to know where any ship is at any point in time.
