Hi! Can anyone out there direct me to possible Compasses or recent reviews on this cruise? I've read quite a few reviews, but can't seem to find any reviews on this particular cruise. Can anyone help?? Planning to go end of February! Thanks!

See you're leaving soon Robyn. Have a great cruise and I look forward to your live review.

Please check out the reserved pool seating section and let me know if it's still above the bar.:( Also-in my research I saw a picture on an area in the tiered section that had family reserved clam shells?? Have not seen or heard anything about this. Was this a one time attempt to maybe generate revenue???

Pack your patience. Just got off the 11/7 cruise with the same itinerary. Boarding was in the new terminal and they had NO idea what they were doing. It was a mess to put it kindly. I was on a cruise on Oasis last June from Ft Lauderdale and the boarding process was smooth and quick, different terminal....night and day. Someone took off all of our cabin tags at luggage drop off which were stapled and taped onto 5 pieces luggage. All 5 tags were missing and our luggage did not make it to our cabin until well after dinner. No one could explain why all the tags were removed. So needless to say I wasn't expecting debarkation to be much better and I was unfortunately correct. Long wait in an outside line (remember Florida is hot even in November) and to top it off they lost one of our pieces of luggage that we double checked to make sure all the tags were very secure. I will be emailing RCCL when I get home. I am a platinum member and booked our next cruise onboard (another not so smooth process) but I will be letting them know that they need major improvements at their new terminal in FLL....and if you haven't already guessed, our next cruise won't be departing from FLL.

  • 3 weeks later...

I was on the Nov 7 cruise. Got to the terminal at about 10:30 a.m. and had no problems whatsoever. The porter took our luggage and we got in line for entry into the terminal. Once inside we were directed to the suite line and then were directed up to that waiting area.

It did help that the hotel shuttle knew right where to drop us off. The traffic was already heavy and it probably only got worse.

It was a great cruise. In Belize we went on the riverboat ride to the mayan ruins and in Cozumel we hired the Tours Plaza driver for a day.

Did MTD with no problems.

I don't know what getting off the ship was like for others but the suite people were lucky to have Raj escort us off the ship to customs. It is a longer walk definitely. We used the luggage valet service and I whole heartedly recommend that to everyone. The person in front of us could not locate one suitcase and did not have time to stay since they had an excursion booked for FLL. I hope they got their suitcase.

I stayed at Hampton Inn cruise port and the only negative comment is the shuttle company hostess. She told everyone it would be at least an hour and a half wait to get a taxi upon return to the terminal and encouraged everyone to go ahead and purchase a ticket in advance, telling them that was the only way they could book the shuttle service. When I disembarked I walked straight to the taxi line with no wait at all. I wonder how many people just gave up on the shuttle and took a taxi anyway.

Just curious, did you forget to tip the porters?

Great time on Indy!!! We loved our cruise last week. It was slow getting on board yes, but they worked hard and were very pleasant. It was 4400 people on board so I can imagine if they all come at the same time it's not easy. We couldn't make it to the port before 1 so I think that is the problem, I recommend to go early maybe 10:30 am. BTW we used Embassy suites for parking at $4.95 per day and everything went smooth there too.

This was the best ship and best cruise I have ever been on (only my fifth  been on Carnival, Holland America and MSC and another RCCL)

The director was amazing !!!! He was hilarious! We attended the comedy show which was really great and so funny! We also attended the dance production performance and another show in the big theater and both were amazing.

Food was excellent in the main dining room and just fine in the Windjammer if you avoid the scrambled eggs in am lol. Pizza place and cafe Promenade was great too!

Everyone was friendly and polite, everything was clean and pretty.

Our two kids didn't even go to the camp because there was just so much to do on board with us. We did the flow rider, we ice skated (make sure you bring long pants it's required for ice skating), we did the rock climbing wall, watch movies on the deck from the hot tub. We had lots of fun in the casino and the different kind of lounges with music. Just couldn't do it all.....SO we need to do it again :D

In Cozumel we went to Paradise beach, the kids had a ball on the inflatables on the ocean while we relaxed with few beers and lunch on the beach. In Belize we took a private tour with king David AlTourNative Belize Services that was the best decision we ever made! The knowledge of the tour guide was priceless it included zip lining (we were suppose to do the cave tubing, but it was closed due to floods) and we visited Altun Ha ruins.

If you do the caves or zip line >>>>BRING MOSQUITO REPELLENT!!!!! you can Thank me later lol :o

Ending the last night with the Adult only game QUEST was just awesome and so much fun!

Oh I forgot our waiters in the MDR were great also!

Anyway, I hope you enjoy your cruise as much as we did!

I actually have some of the compass papers I will try to upload it soon.

Did Raj have set times to walk everyone off in a group? The flight I am looking at isn't until 1:45, so I don't want to leave the ship right at 8:30.
