Cheers Package Upgrade Liquor Question

Hi.

I have the Cheers! package purchased for my February Vista cruise.

If I order a margarita and want to upgrade to Patron Silver, I can just ask for this (or upgrade the liquor in

any drink), is that correct? Is it still covered in the package?

Thank you.

Last cruise I had one bartender give me crap about upgrading my cruiser vodka to grey goose. First she said she'd have to charge me extra. I told her it was covered under cheers. She then said she wasn't able to modify the recipe. I told her I'd get it from another bartender. Other than that I was able to upgrade my liquor all week.

Tell her to go ahead and charge the extra if she insists, I assume a call to guest services would remove it.

That's what I figured but then she changed her story from "I'll have to charge extra" to "I'm not allowed to change the recipe." So I got frustrated and found another bartender.

Weird, perhaps she was new. Do they only make drinks that are on a bar menu?

No, you can pretty much get any drink you want, but they will NOT put more than one liquor in a cocktail unless it's a recipe that they sell like the Havana Iced-Tea. I ordered Cherry Grey Goose & Tonic or Sky Pineapple and tonic all week. No issues.

I heard that CCL is thinking about allowing 24 drinks per day rather than 15 because everyone should be allowed at least 1 drink per hour, whether or not it has alcohol in it.

Guarantee, if this happens they will double the price.
