He was a HAL Chaplain and a dear friend. We became friends on a HAL cruise 3/31/2002 on Noordam. My husband and I spent many happy days with Fr. Gallant He visited our home many times and we traveled with him on many cruises.

He was a kind gentle person. We enjoyed our phone calls and E-mails and visits to each other. We will miss him. God bless him.

Thank you all for your kind words.

Paulinda,

Fr. was he was quite a character. Our last cruise with him was when he was 96 year old. In one of our phone calls to each other just before the cruise he said. "I see you on the ship, if I don't drop dead first"! And my answer to him was, "God does not want you right now and the devil is afraid that you will take over. So, you are staying with us for the cruise".

We all had a great time on that cruise.
