Crown Princess self service laundry

Most Princess ships have converted to using your cruise card to charge the cost of using the machines. Which of course coincided with a price increase from $2 per load to $3. But should you find a machine that requires quarters you can obtain change from the purser's desk. (It always amused me how often there were lengthy threads debating whether it is better to pack a roll of quarters or just get change onboard. We all have such different priorities when planning I guess)

From experience, if you know you are going to do laundry, I would advise bringing your own laundry soap. It was an additional $2.00 (probably more now) for a box of soap in the laundry room, enough for one load. If you are able to buy individual boxes from any store at home, I would advise that. Probably not a safe idea to travel with a zipper baggie of white powder. ;):p:D
