Brilliance 10/4-10/11 - somewhat live maybe

Leaving for Boston Saturday morning, sailing Sunday afternoon. I'm hoping to do some Periscoping (@slaabs) and use cell phone service to post photos here. This will be my first attempt at doing anything live so if things don't work out I will definitely post photos/review here when I get back. We will be doing the New England route (Portland, Bar Harbor, New Brunswick, and Halifax).

Not sure if it was because it's Saturday or due to something else, but restaurants around hotel were very crowded. I opted for room service and had a very good lobster roll.

I am getting excited and nervous for our trip on the 11th. The last time we were on the Brilliance was in 2010 when we hit a storm in the Mediterranean. We have not seen the ship since they repaired it. At least I know it can handle a storm. I look forward to hearing all about the ship. We thought she was beautiful and hope it is all back together. I am especially interested in what kind of music is on board. We love to listen to groups and dance.

Having trouble getting Periscope to work, but will keep posting photos here when I can. Here are some photos from just walking around the ship.806d032fe5d51e59f597556cbf5b7a01.jpg966d73e40f44fdcfd9c836f45f610c30.jpg58b2536630836c809dbefc8991f9efed.jpg

This is my ocean view cabin, currently a luggage loading area view cabin.

Note self, periscoping drains battery. I didn't take any sailway photos on my phone due to dead battery. I'll have to post the ones from my camera later. In Portland today. I am up early to watch our arrival. Lighthouse on port side, sunrise on starboard. Here are some early morning ship photos.
