What's the fee to use the bananarama beach?

Bananarama is on the fabulous West Bay Beach in Roatan. The beach is free, as you will see.

The entire beach is lined with resorts of various types that offer eating, rest rooms and lodging, depending on your needs.

A visit from a cruise passenger might include $10.pp for a lounge chair on the beach. If you get it early enough, it can include shade!

Back to Bananarama....it offers some kind of day pass that includes the beach chair and access to their other facilities.

BTW, you will dock at Coxen Hole rather than Mahogany Bay. There will be taxis available to take you to West Bay Beach.

Bananarama is great. They have various cruise packages. The basic is transportation to and from the port, a lounge chair, a drink, and use of the facilities. This is $35.00 + 15% tax ($4.50) = $39.50. Prices go up if you want to rent snorkel equipment or kayaks. You can add on once you are there. They offer a lot of things to do. Good shore snorkeling. They have a nice little outdoor restaurant and brick oven pizza. I swear my husband only wants to go there for the pizza. They will bring you back to port whenever you are ready to leave. Recommend looking at their website under cruise passengers at the top of their page. This is the only place, beach wise, we go to when we are in Roatan.

Go to the West End Beach or even West Bay Beach.

When the weather is nice, it's some of the best beaches in the Caribbean.

Mahogany Bay is a man-made tourist trap place built by Carnival.

Crappy Water, expensive drinks, food, and shops.

Love, love Mahogany Bay. Didn't visit shops but food and drinks were reasonable and if you like, it is a ten minute Flying Beach Chair ride back to the ship to eat.

Crystal waters and we passed the day away feeling with our feet giant shells that we pulled out and starfish also. The security guard would not let us bring them ashore but we had lots of fun finding them.
