Well, we got our assignment as well today; not very happy with it but oh well; we are right by the elevators; I am a very light sleeper and this isn't going to be fun; can't complain though as I asked for a guarantee.

There is usually no noise from the elevators.

There can be noise by people walking in the hall, but this can happen anywhere along the hallway, not just near the access to elevators.

Thank you Caribill; in the looking at the floor plan, its hard to avoid the elevators! The BA rooms are all around the elevators; all will be good; thank you for the assurance.

A cabin sharing a wall with an elevator shaft is a big no no.

We've had BAs etc clustered around the elevator most, if not all cruises never had a noise problem in fact a couple of times our cabin door was pretty much directly opposite the elevator foyer. Not a problem.
