Personally I would not choose a road transport (if you berth at Stadsgården) due the construction work going on at Slussen area and everyone trying to get to work (if on a weekday) which I assume leads to traffic jams.

M/S Emelie I and II are not included in SL's travel cards. Regarding HoBo boats in the morning it is not mentioned on Strömma website, However Red Sightseeing says on their website that they start operating early when there is a cruise ship in town, not sure though if it is boat and buses or only buses. Do you stop at the Cruise Terminal? Yes, we always meet the cruise ships upon arrival in the morning and all buses operate the port as part of the regular route all day as long as a cruise ship is docked My cruise calls earlier than you start operating, will you have earlier departures? Yes, we will start our operation upon the arrival of the cruise ship (no earlier than 8 am) https://www.redsightseeing.com/stockholm/faq/

While it's not strictly mandatory, it is still recommended as a guarantee that you will be able to enter at a certain time. If you don't buy tickets ahead you risk having to wait and might not make it in in time for you to return to your ship before it leaves.

A hoho bus would be a good choice to see Gothenburg, however it won't necessary go the fastest route between the things you want to see. Have in mind that Gothenburg have a very extensive public transport network with trams, buses and harbour ferries and might be faster to use public transport.

There is a second ferry company that does stop at the Masthamnen/Stadsgården quay but summer time tables aren't available yet. You can however check this website at the end of April to see summer time tables. https://ressel.se/en/emelie-traffic/ It will drop you off very close to Abba/Vasa/Nordiska museet. "Is the ferry accessible? Our boarding bridge takes both wheelchairs and permobiles without problems. We also always have a deck attendant to assist with embarking and disembarking. The thresholds on the main deck are only a few centimetres high and well chamfered so the main deck is fully accessible."

Depends on where your ship berths and which day your ship is in town, but lets say maybe around 300-400 SEK if your ship berths in central Stockholm and about 4-5 times that if your ship berths at Nynäshamn.

March (depending on when in March) is borderline late to see northern lights. As for North to south or south to north - the further north you go the greater the chance to see northern lights. However there are other factors (out of your control) such as solar activity and weather that in the end will be de deciding factor as to if you will see northern lights or not.

Go to a cold bath bath house to go swimming? https://helsingborg-se.translate.goog/uppleva-och-gora/kallbadhus/kallis-helsingborgs-kallbadhus/?&_x_tr_sl=sv&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=sv DIY city walking tour https://helsingborg-se.translate.goog/uppleva-och-gora/upptack-appen-guide-helsingborg/?_x_tr_sl=sv&_x_tr_tl=en&_x_tr_hl=sv If your ship doesn't have a stop in Helsingör as well, then take the ferries over to Helsingör and goto Kronborg castle. https://kongeligeslotte.dk/en/palaces-and-gardens/kronborg-castle.html -
Depends on your budget but three suggestions: Radisson Blu Royal Viking 4 star hotel next to central station. Sheraton, 4 star hotel a few hundred meters from central station, Scandic Klara, a 3 star hotel but imo still not that far behind on standard from 4-star hotels. Also close to central station. https://www.google.com/maps/dir/Centralplan+15-1,+111+20+Stockholm/Radisson+Blu+Royal+Viking/59.3288172,18.0618585/Scandic+Klara,+Slöjdgatan,+Stockholm/@59.3315377,18.0602518,835m/data=!3m1!1e3!4m21!4m20!1m5!1m1!1s0x465f9d607c2166b1:0x5083f03c3ee137ef!2m2!1d18.0589826!2d59.3304901!1m5!1m1!1s0x465f9d608cd21b5f:0x7c069c6b454f6af6!2m2!1d18.0581268!2d59.3315127!1m0!1m5!1m1!1s0x465f9d5df9c8be97:0x853dac399a1e4557!2m2!1d18.0624326!2d59.3338316!3e2?entry=ttu

Thanks, hotel booked, was a bit surprised to see that breakfast was not included (used to staying on Swedish hotels where it's included). Anyway train tickets are not on sale yet, but I don't think there will much changed to current time table. Can either leave at 06 and arrive at 11.25 or at 08 and arrive at 13.25 Haven't decided which train to go back on, but will probably leave around 14 or 15 in the afternoon.
