  1. Realize that those who post here are a SMALL percentage of the passengers who sail. You can participate in EVERYTHING on the ship except the Retreat area--which is basically one of the pools, restaurant & lounge. There are numerous pools, restaurants & lounges for everyone. There are some areas that require a fee--spa, specialty restaurants. You will feel like the world is your oyster even in a "lowly" balcony. One reason I enjoy cruising is that I DON'T feel like a 2nd class citizen, but very pampered. Enjoy!
  2. Interesting. My 1st 10 days are Ireland & Scotland, via Hamburg. Will that be the case here? (not concerned, just curious)
  3. Yes I've already checked transfers to the airport at the port as well as flights to my next embarkation point. Yes I had seen info on ETIES & realized it is still on hold. Thanks
  4. Yes, that is my understanding as well. Thanks
  5. Interesting…I’ve played MyVEGAS for years & refresh varies daily, including NCL…tho like I said, odd today. AND I’m on LVMB—HOW DID I MISS THIS??!! Thanks!
  6. Cripes another typo.🙄 Curious—where does anyone need a visa Europe? (To visit)
  7. Wild. I get the Refresh notifications on another social media site... I went RIGHT to the app when I saw it. No $750 but $500 were back. Crazy they populated at different times!
  8. Note my response #10--I HAVE corrected it in my signature (unable to in past posts). I am on Preziosa Nov 17 Norway--NOT THAT IT MATTERS. It is truly irrelevant WHAT ship/date I am on. Rather stunned that there were several posts regarding this...simple error of ship name made on my signature.
  9. Not necessarily true. I have called 3x in the last month--every time resolved perfectly. 2 very quick, one took longer but they kept me updated. But @Max1ne--Following @CruisingFox27's directions. SUPER easy to correct under web checkin online.
  10. Sailed the Allure in 2011. Our 7th cruise & it was my VERY FAVORITE CRUISE EVER. (at the time...also, didn't sail Celebrity for the 1st time until 2012) Sailed the Edge in 2021(14th cruise)--and I was BLOWN AWAY. Celebrity does food & service better than RCCL overall. That combined with the elevated experience in E-class has me obsessed with E-class. Sailed Edge 2 weeks that time, Apex in March & have Beyond booked 2x this year. I loved Allure because there were so many things to do! But bigger ships give you that in general. I love Eclass because it is still big enough to have plenty to do, but the ships are the most beautiful I've sailed, the service continues to be very good & the food is SO good--MDRs best at sea imo (mainstream lines--have never sailed luxury lines) But their fine dining--OH WOW. Honestly, there is NO NEED to do fine dining--MDR is THAT good. But their fine dining is over the top. Eden was 2 entirely different menus on each ship & both meals some of the best we have ever had. We are doing Le Voyage on Beyond (reviews are amazing) & managed to snag Chef's Table.
  11. Haven't noticed it so much on Princess but there were numerous card players in the buffet at meal times on Carnival Miracle in January (14 day to Hawaii). Our 1st Carnival cruise & actually loved it--crew was outstanding. Trivia 8-10x/day (NOT exaggerating!) and 3 different comedy shows EVERY NIGHT. Honestly, that cruise compared to Princess. I was shocked. Doubt a 7 day would, but a smaller Carnival ship for a longer cruise may be the ticket.
  12. @GenerationX GenZ's facial expressions at Petit tell EVERYTHING--LOVE IT!
  13. Celebrity is our fav line but Princess is a fairly close 2nd! We did Discovery to AK last Sept. Gorgeous ship! But no Retreat-like areas on Princess ships as of yet. Word is that it's coming soon.
  14. Just refreshed...either $750 one is only repopulating just 1 or isn't at all. $500 available NOW
  15. Huh? $250 is gone $500 is 700K $750 is 1M.
  16. As am I…I can use that too?
  17. Curious--where did you get a 20% off coupon?
  18. Oh, so am I!! I will say, I have called MSC 3 times & every time my questions were answered correctly & my needs taken care of properly. 2/3 calls were quick processes. The other was a bit lengthy, but they kept touching base with my while I was on hold assuring me all was being taken care of. Honestly, I find MSC phone customer service to be superior to what I encountered on the ship. (it wasn't horrid...just not quite as good)
  19. @GenerationX If you have a chance, could you snap a pic of the Future Cruise booking flyer? We are looking at Retreat to AK on Edge next May (7 days) & would like to see what extras we might get. Thanks so much--your review is so much fun. Gen Z's joy comes thru in her photos. See you 2 wks from Sunday!
  20. May bring a bottle on from the 1st port & see how it goes...
  21. It was in November. Will be on again 2 weeks from Sunday so will check.
  22. Nice--do you feel Retreat lose some value in AK since the pool is unusable? We are doing Retreat for the 1st time next month on the Beyond.
  23. Yeah but no one is going to be gone from a buffet table for more than 30 min. On the Carnival Miracle in January, people OFTEN were playing games in the buffet area & at times it made getting a table challenging. I don't get it. ALL the other places to be on the ship & THAT is where you MUST play? I guess if you just want to to refill your coffee for free all day, it's the place to play.
