  1. I used to be able to see a cheaper casino rate when I logged into my account when searching for cruises but looking at cruises for 2022 I get the same price whether I am logged in or not. Does anyone know if they have discontinued the casino rates? I know when booking a Princess cruise you have to actually call in and request the rate because it doesn't show up on-line.
  2. These are the terms of my booking. I did have to pay a non-refundable deposit but I booked it when the deposits were $25 pp. TERMS OF OFFER: Book a suite on any 2021 Canada & New England cruise and receive free drinks, free dining package and free gratuities. This promotion has a 50% reduced non-refundable deposit. Signature Beverage Package: Has a daily limit of 15 beverages. Excludes beverages priced over $11.00, and purchases made in Signature shops, In Room Dining, or beverages on Half Moon Cay. Is not transferable or refundable. Signature Dining Package: Receive one complimentary Canaletto Dinner and one complimentary Pinnacle Grill Dinner per person. Reservations and dining times will be assigned and confirmation card will be placed in your stateroom upon embarkation day. Holland America will prepay the suggested Hotel Service Charge on behalf of the guest. This does not include gratuities added for bar charges, dining room wine or Greenhouse Spa and Salon services. This pre-payment applies to 1st and 2nd guest in the stateroom and cannot be applied to any other services or merchandise.
  3. I am booked on the August 12, 2021 cruise and received the promo you are talking about. I first found it on HAL's blog: https://www.hollandamerica.com/blog/destinations/canadanew-england/greenland-added-to-2021-canada-and-new-england-itineraries/ I asked my TA about it and she didn't have anything on it, so I sent her the link to the blog. She contacted HAL and they found the promo. She was told it was for booking a guaranteed suite SB. I had booked a category SA suite across from the Neptune Lounge and I was told that I couldn't get the promo. I downgraded to SB guarantee and now have the promo. I then called the HAL number and acted like I was going to book this cruise and asked about the promo and was told the same thing that my TA had told me. The only place I have found anything about this promo is on the blog. For some reason it is not publicized.
  4. I have now booked the 17 day August Greenland cruise. There is a promo out there that is not easy to find but if you book category BC (Vista Suite) or SB (Neptune Suite) you get Drink Package, Pre paid Gratuities, and Dining package. I believe the deposit is non refundable but was able to do the $25 pp deposit.
  5. I am interested in how this is handled also. Princess has Club Class Dining for those in Suites and some mini-suites. It is very nice. It is in a separate section of one of the dining rooms and most nights we had the same table and waitstaff. Before we boarded we had confirmed early dining for 4 but when we go on board they had moved us to Club Class. This was ok since the friends we were traveling with were in a suite also. It was my understanding if you were traveling with people that were not part of Club Class, you could still get Traditional dining with your friends. I had assumed HAL would handle it the same way, but from some of the reports coming in, it doesn't sound as organized as Princess.
  6. This is our preferred hotel to stay in when we cruise out of Fort Lauderdale. They still have the free airport shuttle but they now charge for the transfer to Port Everglades.
  7. My husband and I received this Private Sale mailing yesterday. When I look at the pricing, I see the Private Sale pricing on my account but my husband does not. This mailing was sent to both of us and has both of our Mariner Numbers on it. Sounds like a glitch in the system to me.
  8. I have found that HAL doesn't always show all available cabins on their website. I usually go to one of on-line travel agent websites to look at the availability of cabins. Also if you have a good travel agent they can tell you which cabins are available for both legs. I just looked at these sailings you are talking about and it looks like there are a lot of cabins available for the 14 day sailings and very few for the 28 day sailings.
  9. I was browsing the HAL website last Saturday morning and saw the Westerdam South America and Antarctica cruise. This was what I had been waiting for. I booked for January 2021 from Santiago to Buenos Aires. I was surprised I hadn't seen any announcements about these itineraries being released.
  10. Sorry, yes. I meant to say unlimited non-alcoholic beverages.
  11. We were in the Pinnacle Suite on the Eurodam in November and this was in our room. I took a picture of it for future reference
  12. We did this cruise in November and used Tours by Locals at all the ports. They were all very good tours.
  13. We are just off the Eurodam and when ordering a coke I asked if it was possible to get 2 at once. He said "no problem, you have unlimited alcoholic beverages".
