Women - You Just Can't Please Them. Rosemary asked me to put the lasagna in the oven at 120 degrees. I did. She's still not happy.

Sid -- Hopefully you just have a case of the crud and your fever will break overnight. Ziti looks good even without meat. Hope you start feeling better.

So my friend opened a restaurant here in St Louis, Quincy Street Bistro. Check out the housekeeping section on the website. He's been in the industry for years and finally has a chance to make it his own.
I applaud him for his "housekeeping" page. A lot of restaurateurs don't want to upset guests with the realities form the restaurants perspective.

I am running a low-grade fever with a side of headache and muscle aches. I'm praying it's from my cocktail of vaccines last Thursday. Seems like a long time to pass before the fever and aches show up.
@fyree39 --
I hope you're just having a mild reaction to one of the vaccines. Will keep you in my thoughts. Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Deedle -- Hope you get a giant severance package. Its hard to move on from a job held that long. Sililiar happened to me 5 or so years ago. Was supposed to be a mom and pop company and had some good times. There were originally 3 owners and I guess I should have seen the writing on the wall when 1 ower left and then the second over a period of 19 years. The third and I did not see eye to eye and only was friendly with me when I was doing something for him no one else could do correctly. Any way wishing you the best in finding something new.

....but....my heart is broken ...Frank passed Wednesday am....peacefully...not from Covid....I'm thankful he is at peace now...but it's still a shock. I have spent the last 15 months going to see him every day...then going every other day to bring him snacks...there will be a huge void in my life....I will fill it with something ...volunteer work...spending more time with the kids and grandkids....and maybe after a while some travel to see family. I couldn't even go to Mass to my aunts funeral last month because I would have had to quarantine for two week up there....I'm almost afraid to think of what will happen next....
@jbhcw -- Sorry for your loss. Hugs to you and prayers for Frank and you and your family.

Hope you are spared the worst.
If you can't reach the doctor, will the pharmacy extend your prescription, given the situation? They are able to do that here so at least you don't have to worry about running out.
The last time I asked for a early refill due to being away on a 14 day cruise and I only had enough meds for 6 days they would not do it. Hopefully the Dr goes to her office for a little while Monday morning and I can get ahold of her. I have an alarm set up for when her office is supposed to open. We do not have the best relationship.

As I was typing the above post, received HURRICANE WARNING from NWS over my cell phone along with a STORM SURGE WARNING -- this is for at least the NOLA area. Need to get on the weather pages I use to figure out what may happen.
I am very low on my "maintenance" meds. Had appointment with internist scheduled for Tuesday but that 's not going to happen now. Hopefully can reach her 1st thing Monday morning and get refills sent in.

@cruiser147147 take care of yourself. My parents are moving back to Mobile next week (probably the Eastern shore) but I told both of them they should consider a whole house generator because they do NOT like being without AC.
@cml4958 -- Thanks for the well wishes. Definitely go with the whole house generator! Next week could be dicy in the Mobile area. I am sure they will but remind them to keep close eye on weather situation.

Well 2020 is at it again. I thought the gulf coast had at least 10-14 days before we have to worry about tropical weather just now coming off the African coast but a so far little tropical wave in the atlantic off Miami has formed. Early models bring it much much too close to New Orleans region. Yesterday local weather guessers said it was nothing to worry about. To give them due credit, they also said we were going to get in on some of the cool weather that visited other parts of the country over the last couple of days. Back into hyper worry mode, not that I ever get out of it lately given all the issues I have to deal with.
Thoughts and prayers for all the folks dealing with the fires and to those trying to get over Laura ( that is a very long process physically and materialy but mentally it can take decades if ever ).
Wonder how much of my Walmart grocery order I will actually get Saturday.
All take care.
