  1. Yes, we called Guest Services to report it. We also asked for some blankets and they sent us four so we're rugged up well.
  2. Ours was better after Darwin for a few days and was OK during the day yesterday but suddenly dropped in temp early evening. We've reported it to guest services. How are you feeling today?
  3. For some reason our cabin decided to turn itself into a fridge last night. We have it turned up to the warmest setting but it's only 17.9C in the cabin. We've had problems with it from Cairns onwards, firstly too hot (28C) on the coldest setting, now too cold. It's obviously linked to the outside air temps but is not providing relief from the extremes like air-con should.
  4. I forgot to mention those people who apparently breathe through their wrists! 🤣
  5. Frank sounds like Rolf in that when he gets ill he just sleeps, and he gets over it very quickly. I rarely seem to be able to do that. 😞
  6. I think some of the crew might be affected by this outbreak. I just checked the dinner menu on the app and it has much less selections than usual.
  7. I'm feeling pretty good now, I just have a slight cough. Rolf is still negative.
  8. My guess is the order was lost or marked as completed by mistake. It was a lot slower at lunch yesterday, mine took an hour. I was just about to call them when it arrived. We preordered dinner for 7pm and it arrived at 7:15pm. Our predinner cocktails and after dinner cognacs arrived promptly.
  9. It was a nine day cruise and we missed two of the four ports. I guess they have some sort of formula that takes into account the length of the cruise and the total number of ports. Rolf is still testing negative and has no symptoms. 😊
  10. So far so good for us. Breakfast arrived very quickly this morning. Rolf just ordered another espresso and it arrived within a few minutes.
  11. Actually when we were stuck in Melbourne for three days, missing our port calls to Port Lincoln and Adelaide, due to bad weather between Melbourne and Adelaide they gave us 20% of our fares back as FCCs. Very generous IMHO.
  12. The 13th Sept cruise ones could be used for existing bookings or new bookings but not that cruise - it didn't come through for a few weeks.
  13. We have been advised that we will be stopping in Busselton on Sunday but missing Albany. We will still be following the storm over the Bight though. Those who want to go ashore in Busselton have to do another RAT that day. They are talking about compensation for missed ports but haven't said exactly what yet.
  14. They could have post-pandemic staffing issues. But in the original article it stated the shuttle fee was in USD which means they were probably organised by Celebrity and charged to passenger's onboard accounts.
  15. I think they may have dropped the mask mandate on Majestic but sensibly kept it in place on Coral since it's a long cruise. Yes, mask wearing was certainly better than the latter half of the 26th June cruise we were on, at least in the first few days of the cruise. It did slacken off a bit from Cairns onward but improved again after Darwin which is when tables started appearing in front of cabin doors.
  16. No but BulldustHHH stated there would be a lot of false positives if/when all passengers had to take RATs. Positive should definitely mean iso but those without symptoms should be allowed to get a PCR test in case the RAT was a false positive. And, of course, anyone with symptoms has to isolate for 24 hours even if their first PCR test is negative which is what happened to me. Err on the side of caution to minimize the risk.
  17. But Frank had symptoms, didn't he? If someone tested positive on a RAT but didn't have symptoms they might retest with a PCR test. Those people would probably demand to be retested anyway. Personally I'd prefer they erred on the side of caution. Better to have a few people who don't have Covid inconvenienced for a day or so than have Covid spreading throughout the ship as it has done on this cruise. I certainly would have preferred that all those people coughing in the theatre, lounges, bars and MDR were isolated. Then I might not have caught Covid.
  18. Did you try to contact them again? Mistakes do happen. I'm not sure how their system works but it is possible someone accidentally signed off your order as completed by mistake.
  19. The mask mandate was not dropped on this cruise. The majority of passengers, plus all the crew, have been wearing masks when moving around the ship and in the theatre. But, of course, there are always some who think the rules don't apply to them, and others who apparently never breathe through their noses. There are even some people who seem to think they breathe through their chins! 🤔🙄😡
  20. I imagine they would follow up RAT positives with PCR tests. Isolating some people for 24 hours would be far better than having people with Covid roaming the ship spreading the virus which is what I suspect has happened since the beginning of this cruise.
  21. Lunch was very slow today. It took over an hour for my lunch to be delivered. I suggest ordering it just before midday tomorrow.
  22. In hindsight it might have been smarter for Princess to require shipwide tests before the Darwin port stop. That would have weeded out those people concealing their symptoms earlier so it would not have spread so much. Perhaps on long cruises like this there should be mandatory tests once a week.
