  1. Well that blew the cobwebs away! It was cool but sunny when we got off the tender. We wandered through the town until we found a very nice fish and chip shop. Luckily they had some indoor seating as it bucketed down a few minutes after we got there. We weren't so lucky after picking up some stuff at Coles though but that shower didn't last too long. Unfortunately there was a very long tender queue so we got rained on a couple more times before making it onto a tender. We both had good rain jackets and the strong wind dried up off any damp spots. I was surprised how well I felt. I thought I might have got tired very quickly but I was OK. It looks like I've shaken off any lingering effects of Covid. Miracles do happen! 😊
  2. I agree wholeheartedly, but that still doesn't make me like the taste of them! 🤣 Anyway there are plenty of cocktails I like that are in short glasses, no straw needed
  3. We're just going ashore to do some shopping. If anyone in iso needs anything let me know and I'll get it for you.
  4. He did the test at the door and waited there for the result to show. Ring the Medical Centre on 4450 and ask what his result was.
  5. Definitely a great relief. Yes, we packed our cold weather gear.
  6. Negative. 😊😊😊 The reason they don't do PCR tests on recovered people is they can show positive for weeks afterwards. Anyway we're cleared to go ashore if we want.
  7. I now try to avoid the cocktails in tall glasses. Those paper straws taste a bit odd.
  8. They specifically told me the 30th which is today. It's day 7 since I developed symptoms and day 6 since I tested positive.
  9. They were Difflam, they worked very well. I recommend getting the Difflam throat spray as well. It's just as effective and quicker to use than sucking a lozenge in the middle of the night.
  10. No but I've been studying the BOM Total Wave Height map. Things are going to get bouncy!
  11. OK, just let me know if you need them. I don't have cold & flu tablets though as they make me nauseous. I'm hoping they'll test me today and hoping even more that I test negative.
  12. I think they are swamped now. When I tested positive there probably weren't as many cases onboard. If you need throat lozenges I can let you have some. Rolf is allowed to leave the cabin so could deliver some to you if you let us know your cabin number.
  13. And that is exactly why I decided to do that interview with Cruise Passenger. It was a great opportunity to set the record straight.
  14. This arrived with the menu delivery this morning. It's the little things that count! 😊

  16. Yellow is better than Blue. That just means you've supplied some of the info needed but not enough to turn Green. However some things can't be added until the last minute. Don't panic if photos don't upload. They'll take one as you board if needed.
  17. Me too. It's up to 19.3C now, from 17.4C. Yesterday it was sitting around 23-24C before it took a nosedive.
  18. At the moment we're freezing on our balcony as they are checking the air-con vents in the cabin. Talk about bad timing - they are cleaning windows or something on an upper deck and wanted us to move. We can't!
  19. We've had five different cabins on three different decks on Coral and this is the only one we've had air-con problems in. I've had cabins in the past that were a bit too warm for me at night so I started packing a small room thermometer to check it wasn't just me. It's currently showing 17.9C.
  20. We did go to Willis Island, the day before we stopped at Cairns. They do it that way around as the shipping channel north of Cairns is inside the GBR.
  21. They feel a bit thicker than the pool ones. Just ring Guest Services.
  22. Our balcony is uncovered so I'm not going to be very happy if I have to go out there. Most of the cabin stuff that gets maintained is accessed from outside the cabin.
