  1. There are plenty of them in the CBD. They have a good range of sunscreens. We usually use the Cancer Council ones.
  2. I think they might be running low on snails. We had really nice ones in June. On our first September cruise they were OK but I started noticing traces of mushroom. Last night they had lots of mushroom in them. The flavour was very noticeable.
  3. They had them on the menu tonight and they definitely had mushroom in them. You could try asking for some mushroom-free ones.
  4. I had the same bad vibe transiting through Abu Dhabi some years ago and I wasn't travelling solo. The exit from the arrival gate was near a glass walled smoking room full of men. Walking past that was very unpleasant.
  5. They've been having them on the second formal night usually. I think they are padded out with mushrooms. Sorry!
  6. They aren't that hard to find here, especially in Melbourne which is usually the QE homeport here. Daniel Hechter has a store at the South Wharf outlet centre - Rolf just bought a new dinner jacket there at a very good price. MJ Bale also have them but at double+ the price.
  7. Through the Future Cruises Desk. It didn't get us any extra OBC though. We did get extra for this cruise but the promo rules may not apply to longer cruises.
  8. That was actually a deciding factor in booking. If we had only had the choice of guarantee cabins or ones in locations that we didn't like we wouldn't have booked. But there was one lonely unbooked minisuite on Dolphin deck that was just saying "Book me! Book me!". 🤣🤣🤣
  9. We also had a suite on the first cruise we did this year, then a minisuite, then the second suite, and currently we have a regular balcony. Luckily there weren't any suites available to tempt us.
  10. Oh good! We've got a lot of stuff to do that day so will be out and about.
  11. I wish we could have got a suite but no such luck plus it would have bent the budget too far out of shape. We opted for a mid-aft minisuite as the only balcony cabins were either guarantees or in locations we didn't like. That bent the budget a bit more than we liked but it's worth it for a 28 day cruise.
  12. No deal, no gambling, just using funds from no cruising for 2.5 years.
  13. We certainly do and are. Apart from missing 2.5 years or cruising because of the pandemic we now have the flexibility to book last minute cruises since our cat passed away a few months ago.
  14. Oops, we just did it again. We're enjoying being on Coral Princess so much and Sydney weather still looks like being wet and cool so we've booked ourselves on the 11th Oct Round Australia cruise. We go home for three days between this cruise and that one. We don't want to stay on for the three day booze cruise!
  15. That excursion does not arrive in Dunedin until late in the afternoon but I believe it does include a short scenic tour around Dunedin.
  16. Yes, that amount is the credit card surcharge that will apply if your current balance is paid by credit card. It only shows if you have a credit card attached to your account.
  17. No longer through the TV. Guest Services is best as the printout comes out better but there is also a kiosk machine just across from the Good Spirits Bar.
  18. Since you are required to "attest" to having a negative result those who did fake their result could potentially leave themselves open to legal action if it could be proved they boarded knowingly with Covid and faked their test result. In actual fact no-one has asked to see our RAT photo in 36 days of cruising since the restart and Covid is not running rampant on Coral Princess or any other ship currently operating here. Most people are probably doing the right thing.
  19. It's irrelevant how hard the staff push mask wearing as a certain number of passengers are either too entitled or too ignorant to wear them unless it's the only way they can get into a venue: - I'm wearing my mask ... on my chin, or my wrist, or hanging off my ear. - I'm wearing my mask ... I don't breathe through my nose so I don't need to cover it. - I wore my mask through the door but I'm not going to wear it during the show / trivia / or whatever even though the theatre / lounge is packed. - I can't wear a mask because I need to cough, into my hand of course. - I don't need to wear a mask because it's a sip and cover venue and I have a drink in front of me even though I'm not actually drinking it. All of these examples are seen every night on board. What really irritates me is someone who gets into a lift holding a mask then puts it on when it's time to exit the lift. However lots of people are still being very good about wearing their masks when moving around the ship, however I think the percentage of mask wearers is dropping more on this cruise than the other two cruises we were on recently.
  20. We actually got in this time. We like sea days, thank goodness.😊
