But there are still some decent sales around. Recently my Princess Planner contacted me about a price drop on a 2015 cruise we have booked. We saved over $2000 and it's only a 12 night cruise. And a few months ago I also scored another sale fare on our upcoming Japan cruise only this time we chose to upgrade our cabin since the initial cabin we'd booked wasn't in a location I liked. We got a mid-aft minisuite for not much more than the price for the forward balcony we'd originally booked.

Thanks for explaining that. It makes sense now. However with more and more residential buildings having security entrances it's a problem.

And people standing over you in bars talking to friends and coughing heavily. No matter how careful you are to safely distance yourself from others there will always be some self-entitled git who isn't going to let "a bit of a cold" stop them from enjoying their holiday! Actually I shouldn't whinge too much - the FCCs for having to isolate in our cabin after getting Covid on the Round Australia cruise last year paid for a big chunk of our upcoming Japan cruise. Some clouds do have silver linings!

I've never been able to understand that rule. My understanding is that it's a 'do no work on the Sabbath" rule that has been in place long before electricity was discovered. I really don't understand how flicking a switch is "work". We used to own a rental property in Elsternwick, VIC. There were a few Jewish people living in the block of flats and we had real security issues with one family who would chock the security door, into one half of the block, open on Saturdays because their friends liked to visit them on that day but wouldn't/couldn't press the outside doorbell to get access. This meant that anyone could access that part of the building and we had troublemakers living in the other part who would regularly damage carpets and other fittings in the stairways. It was a real problem. 😡

A very nice box lunch was provided on the Princess excursion.

Do the RIB trip to Whitehaven Beach. Not only do you get to spend some time on one of the most beautiful beaches in Australia, you'll also get to see many of the Whitsunday islands. It is a wild ride at times though. That RIB is very fast!

Unfortunately there is nothing more we can do as the problem sounds like yet another bug in the medallion software and/or lack of planning by Princess.

They are brilliant! So funny! Normally we avoid comedy acts as we've seen and been bored/offended/cringed-out by too many bad ones but we went to a variety show one night where these guys were one of the acts. They were so impressive we went to their full show.

It's really hard to tell from the deck plans and there aren't any photos showing the aft section of the ship from the right angle to see what is on that deck just forward of the pool itself..

They just called it Pier 11 when we were there in 2019 but it sounds like the same place you're talking about.

Unless P&O have closed off the access there should be a way of getting to the pool from that deck - there is on othr Grand Class ships. Check the deck plans.

Oddly Rolf didn't get the survey even though they have his email address but I tend to be the one who does the bookings so maybe they only targeted those people. My guess is they wanted x number of responses and once they'd received that many they closed the survey.

They already had email addresses, that's how they sent out the survey.

That's odd, my one said it closed 9th October. Maybe they reached their limit required.

Yes, I have got it but haven't done it yet. I will be saying the same as you, especially about the wine. Also about downgrading the experience by charging for things that used to be included.
