Just a heads up. If you miss the ship and it sails off. They have taken count of all the passengers that have left and returned to the ship. If you have not returned then a crew member gets documents from you safe and gives it to the pilot ship that takes the cruise ship out of the dock. We don't take a passport but we do take a copy of the cruise compass. It has the local contact if the need arises.

We like both. But when we are on Celebrity it feels like cruising in the 80's and 90's and Royal is the updated version of cruising.

We also were on the Eclipse.. What we most admired about the Eclipse crew was the attention to detail. On a side note we had early seating at a table of eleven. We kept in touch by texting after we disembarked. Only two of our table mates contracted COVID. Those two that have COVID had spouses who did not contract COViID. Go figure!

We went to Muckross in 2004 was a great attraction. If they still have it take the Lorry to view the massive estate. Do the Muckross manor tour. If you do not have time for both just do the manor. We spent the day there. We rented a car and did a 12 day bed and breakfast vacation.

Sadly my Sister died from the Flu. That's pretty serious.

Washing your hands frequently is the best policy to avoid Norovirus, influenza, COVID. We were on the Eclipse Vancouver to Honolulu leg and was surprised when the Captain made the mask mandate and no mention hand washing? I would think the medical personnel would have said something. OBTW two of our table mates got COVID. We did not. (Again the handwashing thing)

Our letter read if Royal did not hear from us 10/25 we would be on the Rhapsody in the same room. Then our flights through Royal would be updated. So we are going for it.

Funny but cruised on Serenade of Seas February 2020 and did the Chefs table. Covid hit and no more cruising. Then the ramp up and again sailed Serenade of Sea September 2021 and did the chefs table and lo and behold exact same menu.

We had a problem with our bucket of beer. The bucket had a hole in it! On top. HaHa.

I failed to mention that flights by celebrity had picked our seats and they were very much an improvement over the seating on the cancelled flight. Who knew!

We just got back from Hawaii yesterday and if not for FBC we would be coming home today. On last Thursday in Honolulu gate C2 waiting for our 11 p.m. flight to Phoenix connecting to St. Louis for a 11 A.M. arrival. Friday. Just as the gate closed and the American Airline employee left. Everyone got alerts that the flight was cancelled due to no crew. Flight was rescheduled to 8 A.M. Friday morning. Called American Airline to see about a comp. room and food. Got the email for comp. and then I asked about the connection. Was told that the flights from Phoenix were full that day and would have to stay overnight in Phoenix for the next available flight Sunday. WHAT! In meantime we got email from Celebrity flights that they were aware of the change and were working on it. Our immediate concern was to get to the Hotel and then call Celebrity flights. So at the Hotel I opened the American Airline App. and sure enough the flights for Friday and Sunday were there. I am mot making this up. Like magic the reservations changed. Celebrity changed the flights to leaving Friday from Honolulu 5 P.M. and connecting at DFW 9 A.M. arriving in St. Louis 11 A.M. SATURDAY. Apparently it was too much work for A.A. to get us home Saturday. But Celebrity flights got us home Saturday. Seems clear to us who was our advocate when our flight got cancelled.

On the Ecispe as we speak and chair hogs are a very small minority!

We tested today both negative. This the third time we used on point . No problems and would recommend to friends and family.

So I have to fill it out LEAVING Canada on a cruise ship. Seems redundant and arbitrary. Papers please.

No problem. I will figure it out. We decided this is our last trip to Canada. I know when we are not wanted.

I used the same kit in June when I was positive. Total time was 7 minutes. I am a retired med tech and ran quite a few thin line chromatography. It is a qualitative test and once you detect the second line the test result can be reported.

we also did the on point testing for Baltic Sea cruise this August. We did our testing together which saved time. Going to take our test tomorrow for a Celebrity cruise out of Vancouver CANADA. No cruise is complete till you jump through more hoops.

Am I missing something, it appears that just one ArriveCAN is good for 72 hours.

Just got back from a Royal Carribean Baltic sea cruise. We are diamond/elte. The water that was available to us came in cans. Upcoming Celebrity cruise to Hwaii. Is the water in bottles, or cans on Celebrity ships? It will help us when we pack.

I have been at the windjammer and considering where those forks had been probably more dangerous! 😉

Don’f forget chefs table. We enjoyed it very much.

We too were on the August Balkin Sea cruise. Our 2nd time on the Voyager. Love the ship. As diamonds we were a little put out that on the first day the bars were out of my bourbon and rye. We had to drink beer and wine. No biggie the next day all the bars were stocked. Makes us think the previous cruisers must have been partying hard! Looks like we should have been on the Voyager that 11 days,
