  1. Yes, since I quoted you I was addressing it to you. Interesting that your TA OBC shows up there, mine never has, perhaps it's the way the TA handles it. I always get a card in my room showing it and then it shows up on the TV in a day or two into the cruise. I'll double check in case Oceania has changed this recently.
  2. It also seems we have two discussions here. There is the bathroom size, and then there is the original O Class A category and down shower size. I was referring to bathroom size, not the size of the shower on the non-refurbished Marina rooms.
  3. Are they at a comparable price point? But to be fair don't you have to compare at least a PH on Oceania to those suites in the Retreat? And here's the thing about those Un-remodeled showers in the Marina, if they are too small for you then use the one in the tub, lot's of room there. While the shower itself might be on the small side the bathroom itself is not small.
  4. Yeah, I wasn't talking about the R ships. I'm quite aware of the limitations of the bathrooms of all the rooms below PH on those ships. I was speaking strictly to the O ships. Whoever told you slightly larger was completely off base. I've been in all of them, so I've had a little experience with them. While cramped might be a fair description it is no way small. Apparently some people's preference doesn't see it that way. The refurbished layout is better, depending on your opinion on tubs. I personally haven't been in a tub almost 30 years, so I could care less about them.
  5. While you usually get it right the bathrooms on the O ships are in no way small. Apparently we need Meow with her tape measure to give us measurements. They’re big enough to have a tub and shower, which was later viewed as a mistake except for a minority of people. On the Riviera, which was updated, they put the shower where the tub was and cabinet where the shower was. O class veranda minus balcony is 242 sq ft. Vista is 250. Not much difference. I would like to see measurements of the bathrooms.
  6. You can not be serious! Have you seen an R ship bathroom? We all have our points of view, but frankly I find it hard to see any credibility here if you think a Veranda bathroom on an O ship is cramped. What are you comparing this to? You mentioned Celebrity Retreat, they have quite a few levels of rooms.
  7. They do a great job of promoting them. First I've heard of it, and I haven't heard anything about future ones. Huh.
  8. Your OBC from your TA is showing on the website?
  9. Miramar is a city in Broward Cty FL. Suburb of Miami, probably where Celebrity has their business office.
  10. Important to note that is on the ships with 4 specialty restaurants. The 4 R ships with 2 are different.
  11. Yes, I do think someone said that a few days ago on another thread.
  12. It's an oddly laid out website. You need to go to the bottom of the main page, look under Guest Services, choose Frequently Asked Questions. Then type in the box what you are looking for. Or here you go, the first one is free. Guests are permitted to make the following reservations in our specialty restaurants - which vary by ship, category, and length of cruise: Marina, Riviera, Vista and Allura Owner’s Suite, Vista Suite, and Oceania Suite Cruises 7 days or less: 1 reservation at each restaurant Cruises 8-17 days: 2 reservations at each restaurant Cruises 18 days or more: 3 reservations at each restaurant Penthouse Suite Cruises 17 days or less: 1 reservation at each restaurant Cruises 18 days or more: 2 reservations at each restaurant Concierge Level Veranda, Veranda, Ocean View, and Inside Stateroom All cruises: 1 reservation at each restaurant Insignia, Nautica, Regatta and Sirena Concierge Level Veranda and above Cruises 7 days or less: 1 reservation at each restaurant Cruises 8-17 days: 2 reservations at each restaurant Cruises 18 days or more: 3 reservations at each restaurant All other categories Cruises 17 days or less: 1 reservation at each restaurant Cruises 18 days or more: 2 reservations at each restaurant
  13. Depends on which category room you're in. This information is on the Oceania website.
  14. I'm sure I've got it completely confused with something else. Happens as you age.
  15. I don't think that's a normal veranda bathroom. Doors are not rounded, that one is flat. Is that an accesible room?
  16. Apparently not below a PH on Nautica, but I think that would count as an R ship bathroom
  17. That's a lot of kids, your wife deserves to get those PH's.
  18. I know better. So much spin and missing information. Not once have you mentioned your point of view is from booking a table for 2. You aren't being denied the times you want because they're holding them for those in the upper suites. Many people that don't really understand the system, either by being new to Oceania and it wasn't properly explained or they're not computer literate wait until they're onboard to book their reservations. Why do you think there's a line on embarkation day all afternoon? Not to try to get extras for that night. But those that pay more should get more, just like Iowananny mentioned above. I'd think a good capitalist like you would understand and appreciate that. FYI, I always get the times I want, but we're willing to share. But even at 45 days we've been able to get early 2 tops. Just not always the night I wanted. For the most part we book in the G-B category.
  19. Let’s try this another way. Have you ever been on an Oceania cruise?
  20. Yes, sorry I contributed to that, I should know better.
  21. Tell us again how many Oceania cruises you've been on? Here's a tip, don't believe everything you read, especially on FB. They've got people posting there with Oceania Expert by their name that's only been on about 3 of their ships and have never eaten in the GDR. Go figure. I don't want to disappoint you more, but on Regatta you had to ask for fresh squeezed OJ or they would serve you some kind of reconstituted stuff. They really need to rethink that one. I'm pretty sure Serena does not have the evening pizza at Waves. But things change quickly, maybe they do now.
  22. Not to toot my own horn but I posted about this offer the day before.
