  1. Todays entry is featuring our D2 balcony cabin on deck 14 (14286). steamboats
  2. Last part of the ship - bars and lounges on decks 15 to 18. Next will be our balcony cabin. steamboats
  3. I´ve been in 14286 and there was a little noise but nothing which kept me from sleeping. steamboats
  4. Todays entry is featuring bars and lounges on decks 3 bis 8. @Trixie21 I liked it but I´m also a fan of the Oasis Class ships. Icon is a bit of an evolution of the Oasis Class and slightly larger. steamboats
  5. Actually I did take almost all photos with my phone (Oneplus 8+ with 256 GB - I just upgraded on the new 12). There are some photos I took with my camera but I think so far there´s only one or two online (those of the ship at Coco Cay). I usually download the photos on my Surface which has only 64 GB memory. And it still doesn´t overflow 😉 although I usually have the photos of the previous trip still there. steamboats
  6. Restaurants on decks 14 to 18 are featured in todays entry. steamboats
  7. Restaurants on decks 7 and 8 are featured in todays entry. steamboats
  8. Thanks, yes, looks like my website is currently down. I have to contact my DH. DH renewed the security certificate today. Seems like there's the problem. I'll let you know when it's up again. steamboats
  9. Not necessarily... It´s just that you can´t book any of the cruises anymore scheduled before April 8th. So they can either move people from the two cancelled cruise to those which are now blocked. Or it gives them the chance to cancel one or more of those cruises when needed. steamboats
  10. Thanks all! @crewsweeper todays entry is yours 😉 - featuring Chill Island (including Cloud 17), Thrill Island and The Hideaway. steamboats
  11. Not in Europe... In this case the "go slow" order is nothing unexpeced but was announced quite a while ago. So they should have known earlier about it. steamboats
  12. Today´s entry is covering decks 12 to 15 (forward) featuring the Vitality Spa and the AquaDome with The Overlook and the AquaTheater. steamboats
  13. Cloud 17 and The Hideaway are to follow of course. I took photos of our cabins but only a few other ones. Actually the show cabins went mad and there were long lines (we had problems to get into our cabin as there was a show cabin nearby), so we gave up on the cabins. steamboats
  14. Part 2 is online - I continue with decks 7 to 11 featuring Central Park and Surfside. steamboats
  15. Thanks! As we´re from Germany we were still on German time 😉 - anyway we usually check when it´s sunrise and then we know when we can start taking pictures. When my stomach says it´s time for food we make a break for breakfast. With such a big ship and only 3 nights you need to start out early 😉. And we weren´t the only ones. steamboats
  16. We had the pleasure to be invited to the Christening Cruise of the Icon of the Seas. So here´s my photo intense review (German text, but use automatic translation) - at least the first part of it. As usual I start out with a deck by deck description of the ship itself. As the Icon is such a "small" ship there will be four parts (and separate ones for the restaurants and bars/lounges). My DH hates me for making so many photos 🤣... But I returned with more than 2 K. There´s still a lot of work laying ahead of me but the first four parts are finished and there´s definitely more to come. Enjoy! steamboats
  17. Yes, there are three colors... aft, midship, forward. Aft was blue, midship more greenish blue, I don´t know forward. But when I walked through the cabin aisle I realized the other two colors (our cabin was aft). steamboats
  18. @Pinballs83 at least you´ve found the safe! I don´t want to know how many phone calls guest relations has to answer about "where is my safe"... steamboats
  19. Thanks, yes it was only 3 nights onboard for us. The whole ship is absolutely amazing! A real evolution of the Oasis Class ships. Of course there are things which I don't really appreciate - like that you have to walk through Playmakers to leave the ice show. BTW it's really tricky to find the Teens 'n Club. Sort of ... Go to Absolute Zero, pass the door and turn left to the bathroom... No signage at all. The Royal Promenade is huge and the open feeling of the two decks is really nice. Ww didn't have enough time to check whether the open concept doesn't lead to a mix of all the sounds from the different venues. As for the Central Park I feel more comfy on the Oasis Class. But maybe that changes when the plants are growing a bit more. On Oasis Class there are nice little areas with benches to sit. On the Icon it's more like "hurry and walk through". A lot of nice areas in Chill Island but the pool space might get cramped with a full load of passengers. The Hideaway has almost no shade at all. Thrill Island is nice (o.k., I don't really need it). Crown's Edge is not really worth the money (whatever it is... 19, 49 or 89.99 USD). I'd love to do a full cruise to get the real feeling. But I'm pretty sure that as well AS on Oasis Class you won't feel cramped even with a full load. steamboats
  20. That's why I said "the only inside exist" 😉. Anyway it was pretty quick leaving Absolute Zero after the show. steamboats
  21. BTW, here´s my DH´s video about the Icon of the Seas (no need to understand the German talking ;-)) And another video about the AquaDome and parts of the show steamboats
  22. Exactly the only inside entry is through Playmakers. The other two "exits" get you on the jogging track. steamboats
  23. Besides getting a printed version there´s a card in the cabin with a QR code. When you scan the QR code you get the pdf file of the printed version. steamboats
