  1. Did your Butler fill it out? Apart from calculating cost, irrelevant in this case, it creates a count so that the laundry can confirm that the order is complete and nothing is missing.
  2. Wondering about confiscated vs. voluntarily surrendered. We picked up an unusual liqueur in the islands once and turned it over at the brow. Was delivered to our stateroom door on the last night of the cruise, same as if we'd purchased duty free aboard.
  3. Between all that was done in late 2021 right before the restart and what was done earlier this year, Connie should be looking quite nice.
  4. Still looking for the original source for the complete second post that includes the "rendering below" since we've booked a Sunset for our kids for November.
  5. On a cruise in 2021, we noted that one of their representatives was taking purchases from the ship and having them resized at the local retail Effy shops along the Caribbean itinerary where they had personnel qualified to do the work. If they can, they will. If outside their brick and mortar sales territory (e.g., North America / Caribbean), then you have to send the item back to NY for resizing. They don't ever seem to have people trained for any of that sort of thing aboard. Personal advice: On their higher end items, unlike some of the other shops afloat, if you're not bargaining, you're leaving money on the table, but you need to do some homework to have a sense of what's possible and reasonable before you sit down with them. Hematian was in and working on designs pretty much right up to the end. Was sorry to hear he died last year.
  6. You'd be amazed - or perhaps not! - at the number and variety of container types that have been used in an attempt to smuggle booze aboard, many of them FAR more creative than a mouthwash bottle! The folks at security have seen them all.
  7. There's a major difference between aeration and decanting. The latter performs both purposes since it's done slowly, but the much simpler process of aeration definitely isn't guaranteed to deal with decanting requirements. When decanting, one of the chief concerns is the disturbance of whatever sediment has collected over time. I'd handle that last bottle of 2006 Cardinale pretty carefully. On the other hand, I'd certainly consider aeration of a young, tannic red, but there's no percentage in going through the actual decanting process for a 2020 Cabernet.
  8. I'm addressing their ready discoverability, not the rules about possessing them, which are indeed different. A couple could easily be mistaken for bottles of hand cream,. A collection of them would likely encourage further scrutiny. If found, you would be picking them up on the 'naughty table' at the end of the cruise.
  9. Your luggage will go through the same sort of procedure that you'd encounter in an airport. I'd think about alternative gifts.
  10. As I said. "You can do your own math with your own drinking habits". The objective was to provide a format for people to do that.
  11. The formatting of this is likely to fall completely apart, so I may repost it in a different fashion later. But I'm going to take a straightforward look at what those who prefer a bit better bar stock and wine by the glass might be paying. You can do your own math with your own drinking habits to see what you get. Per day pricing for packages is also highly variable based upon one sale or another online. Drinks on Classic Package – all up to $10, (-15% on wine/bottle) Drinks on Premium Package – all up to $17, (-20% on wine/bottle) Typical 20% off Classic package price = $67.99/day Typical 20% off Premium package price = $79.99/day Assume 2x $20 mixed drinks and 3x $25 glasses of wine/day Mixed Wine Package Total No package $40 $75 $0 $115 Classic package $20 $45 $68 $133 Premium package $ 6 $24 $89 $119
  12. Indeed. New furniture is a far cry from adding a pool where there wasn't one!
  13. Have always had pressed shirts and slacks returned on hangers with Celebrity.
  14. Yes. That said, even on an at-sea day, I've never had a problem seating 4 with no waiting time at lunch. IF they have it in supply, you should try the fresh Wasabi. Nothing like the fake powder 99% use to make a green paste.
  15. Unclear what you mean by "twice a day". Normal service, even in a RS, is typically have it out by 9am today and typically don't expect it back until tomorrow evening. If it comes sooner, that's a bonus. We find that Celebrity isn't nearly as fast with their laundry as Silversea is. Then again, Silversea half again the number of crew per passenger ratio.
  16. Just having a quick look-see at a few currently ported M and S opening times re: Sushi on 5. M - Constellation - 3:00pm M - Millennium - 3:00pm M - Summit - 2:30pm S - Eclipse - 12:00pm S - Reflection - 12:00pm S - Solstice - 12:00pm Anyone else notice a trend?
  17. And there again, it depends upon which ship class you choose. On M class, the saunas and showers have always been freely accessible.
  18. Our own experience has been that sometimes we are charged for the specific items that are at additional cost on the menu, sometimes not. Sushi on 5 is effectively all you can eat. You could eat, leave, and turn right back around and do it again at the ala carte restaurants like Sushi on 5, so that's why there's not an ala carte limit. That's only for pax that buy specialty dining packages.
  19. Check ... varied experiences over time. http://www.test5.celebritycruises.com/things-to-do-onboard/staterooms/suite-class/royal-suite https://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/topic/2420081-quotunlimited-specialty-diningquot-on-celebrity/
  20. CDP's data has yet to incorporate many cabins that have been converted to new suite classes post-build. Several aft cabins on M class come immediately to mind.
  21. Thanks. I'll watch for it with fingers crossed!
  22. Don't know who contacts Sky Suites. Our contacts have been a combination of phone calls and follow-up email.
  23. "What we've got here is a failure to communicate". I always bring a hardcopy of the email on the cruise. Nice detail for the butler if needed, and ammunition for/against the Hotel Manager for a dropped ball. Have only needed it once out of a dozen or so cruises in an X suite.
