It's a good turkey dinner, no pressed turkey. Football, I don't know. There's always football, but who knows how many games. Watching 3 NFL games on that day is a regular marathon.

As previously noted, we also had problems on a cruise, twice with flooding. We were generously compensated in the form of future cruise credit. We never asked for that and were pleasantly surprised.

No, they simply charge you a corking fee for each bottle you bring onboard. They make money selling wine, so they want to put an end to the two bottles you used to bring onboard without corking. Easy to understand. Since we don't ordinarily drink expensive wine, there is no reason for us to bring any wine onboard. Corking fee exceeds the value of our wine.

I hear about people bringing their own snacks onboard. Cheezits, and all kinds of things. TP doesn't surprise me.

Very sad this is going on three days. We've had flooding in cabins in two previous cruises and when I went to guest services they acted as though this never happens. I'd sit on a chair by guest services until they move you to another cabin. This is unacceptable, and gross by the way. The smell must be outrageous.

He's a really nice guy. Met him this past winter. Being nice may be an advantage since it's so rare these days. Although, all the staff on HAL has been very nice in my opinion.

Love your pictures. We agree that the acoustics in certain areas of the mdr are loud and uncomfortable. Can't hear yourself think, never mind other people. We've gotten up and walked out on a few occasions. I don't know why they don't have better soundproofing. And this is on the Pinnacle class ships.

The Lido seems fairly manageable on the day of embarkation. I'm usually so distracted by everything that day that I don't worry too much about lunch. I've never seen it to be a zoo. They have plenty of staff.

Looks like this is a top priority for him. I met people on our cruises who really had to hit the 15 drinks a day. A bit crazy but there you have it. -
Many people swear by the excellent service in Pinnacle, but our last two cruises were on the NS, and the Canaletto staff was exceptional. They were over and beyond excellent. We'll be sailing again with NS in the fall, and I am hopeful this remains the same.

It never fails that I love something in a restaurant and someone else says they hated it. You like liver? Yuck. Different strokes for different folks, so to speak.

Exactly. We expect some luxury. Otherwise, I'd stay home in my luxurious home. No brainer.

Rounded up a bunch of guys off the streets in Indonesia? What a terrible comment. Unflushed toilets? Clueless jerks? But you had a wonderful time. I'm scratching my head on this post.

Truth. That's why I'm sticking to the Pinnacle class...nice and shiny and new. Except for the ports of call; sometimes we like to mix it up. But, those mentioned above are fabulous.
