  1. Luggage given to the porters is not unattended. There are people who take it and load it onto pallets to be loaded onto the ship. Just like when you check a bag at the airport - it is taken from you and loaded into the pallets for loading onto the plane. If you just dropped it and didn't ensure that it was given to a porter then yes, I'd expect it to be removed and/or destroyed. I don't always agree with @zitsky but in this case absolutely. You do not leave luggage unattended. ANYWHERE. I'm guessing you don't live in a large city either - random bags just left around cause all kinds of law enforcement activity.
  2. This!! I am more than willing to pay for Aqua Class even as a solo. I’ve been spoiled to that and don’t want to cruise Celebrity outside of Aqua. So… I didn’t mind my solo cabin on Edge at all. I am just spoiled to Blu now.
  3. I'm guessing you don't fly much? A cruise terminal is like an airport in that you are not to leave your luggage unattended.
  4. True...but those people can talk just as easily going down the hall. I've never noticed any extra noise being near the elevator lobby - at least not that didn't carry on as people walked down the hall.
  5. Woohoo!! Happy early birthday!!! I'll be boarding Beyond the day you disembark (should probably start my Live soon...)!! Have a great trip!!!
  6. Not remotely the same as the sparkling wine included with Aqua. It'll likely be the same as the wine they give if you book on board the first day. You're not getting Decoy in exchange for the sparkling wine - at least not without paying for it.
  7. She responds in the thread, so the question should be above hers in the thread.
  8. So that's 1-3 drinks per person for you. As opposed to the 5 you could have throughout the day on Royal.
  9. After my not-great Anthem experience this past February I think I am done with RCCL. And I don’t sail in suite. But since I prefer eating on the earlier side and am too much of an introvert to remotely enjoy forced socialization times, I guess this will end up being one of those benefits that goes unused if I continue on X. 😞 Not that they’ll mind either if I quit sailing on them or if I skip the happy hour - someone more likely to gamble and spend money shopping would likely take my place and they’d save money on the drinks they don’t have to provide.
  10. Agreed. Perhaps a choice at check-in as to which you prefer. Not only does the timing not really work for those who dine earlier, forced socialization is not fun for introverts.
  11. We're never going to come to an agreement on this, but again... She never gave numbers either of percentage that hates them or what the ratio is. It could be 2 IVs to every 1 regular. It could be the other way. All she said was they are polarizing and they will be adjusting the ratio. Without numbers no one knows how "large" that number is.
  12. Give me a drag artist over a comedian or magician any day. Cannot stand comedians or magicians. I do agree that their ads certainly make them seem like Vegas party central from the very first ads with a guy in a diving helmet in what looked like a mosh pit.
  13. Again, when I read it, what she said was polarizing. I never saw the words "large number" in the post. If they were there, please quote them.
  14. I sailed in an aft balcony AQ last summer on the Summit and while yes, there were great views, there was not a lot of breeze unless it was generally breezy and the floor got stupid hot. If I forgot to put on my flip flops before going out there, I was almost tripping over the door frame getting back in to get them. Definitely not the enjoyable experience many paint them as for me. If it works for them, great...I'm perfectly happy with my booked IVs.
  15. I didn't see her mention "a large number". She said people love it or hate it and they are re-evaluating the ratio. Not that they're getting rid of them. If it was that "large" a number, they'd eliminate them all together.
  16. Amen!! She didn't have to agree to do this. Big thanks for doing it - and I look forward to answers to remaining questions!
  17. Never mind... Looked it up. Never knew MDRs had more than one word in their names.
  18. Same thing happened with the last president.
  19. If I remember correctly the last time they did this with the previous president her answers weren't up on the "beginning on" date either. And people fussed then. And people fussed when she answered. Lather, rinse, repeat.
  20. I see so many people saying Blu tables are closer together than the MDR tables, but in my experience, they're ALL close depending on where you are seated. I've been in multiple MDRs where there was literally only a bread plate's worth of space between the tables and yet in other areas of the same MDR there was more space (Looking at you MDRs on Edge Class). Likewise in Blu there were some tables that were further apart. It depends on where in the dining room you're seated.
  21. To be fair, it was after this that the OP revealed that it was due to snoring. When I read someone needing "as much physical distance as possible" my brain doesn't go to snoring. It goes to physical safety.
  22. Can you combine this with onboard bookings?
  23. Yes, on the Summit last summer it was the basic water. You’re not getting Evian or Aqua Panna or anything fancy for free.
