  1. Thanks, both. I'm probably a bit premature and over excited 😊
  2. We embark in 12 days. Everything is as it should be, our guest registration is complete (green ticks all the way along!) I have used the SB Source app successfully before, but I am having trouble this time. On the app and the 'Boarding Pass' it just shows this... screenshot attached. Everything else is as it should be although there is nothing in my wallet (like excursions booked) Last time it had a Pass with a barcode and lots of detail. This time nothing. I have logged in and out of the App. I have been on the SB website to triple check everything and as far as I'm concerned I have checked in online. I can download final documents, luggage tags etc. Any idea what I am doing wrong and is my only option to uninstall the SB app and start again? Many thanks in advance
  3. I quite understand about not saying to me which port etc, I am very hesitant about offering definitive answers too... imagine if it was wrong! I will certainly try and report back!
  4. For me... I love a white lady or French 75 in Obs Bar but in TK Grill it just has to be a Gibson. Really not to everyone's taste but it's delicious! We met a lovely couple who we dined with in TK, and one of them joined me with a Gibson... and said "how on earth can you like this" ?! As I say... an acquired taste....
  5. I am following this closely. We embark on Odyssey on 29th September for the Grand Pacific Voyage, and I have no idea what to put. I had planned on entering Vancouver when we completely our ArriveCan. Is this now incorrect?
  6. We don't! But we have travelled on a car ferry through the Bay of Biscay in March, with one of the worst crossings ever told us by the ferry company. It was like sleeping in a washing machine and I was thrown out of bed at one point. If we can cope with that, we can cope with anything! I do think some people just don't get seasick. I might be eating my words at some point of course.
  7. Thank you so much, we are planning already! Hoping to find some other curry and Indian cuisine lovers on board!
  8. We have free laundry now and we have never had a problem, everything comes back pristine, perhaps we've just been lucky. However, I have used the laundry room in the past , but I'm an early riser so I used to put it in as I do my laps walking above the pool deck, and then put it to dry as I finish walking and voila! I've met some lovely people in the laundry room!
  9. Thank you, and look forward to meeting you too 😊
  10. Thank you. Yes, they do an Indian Marketplace meal at the Colonnade, but the chances of it being near our birthdays are pretty remote! It's always been on the last night of a cruise for us before. I know that passengers have had a special meal prepared for them so we thought we would give it a try! Just not sure how to organise it. I agree... we like spicy, no bland for us! 😂
  11. My husband and I are doing our longest cruise embarking in just over a month and so looking forward to it, despite the massive changes to the itinerary. Whilst we are on board, it is both our birthdays 6 days apart. We both love Indian food and would like to celebrate our birthdays with a special meal indulging our tastebuds with Indian cuisine, and maybe ask anyone we have met onboard who might like to join us. My questions are... who should I approach about this? How much notice should we give? Would this be normal to have in the MDR or the Colonnade? We are not fussed when we have it, probably in between both our birthdays as we have TK Grill booked for one of them. I'm just not sure how to arrange this. Thanks in advance 😊
  12. What fabulous pictures, thank you. I am a hot weather cruiser but you are rapidly changing my mind!
  13. I agree and I hope we reach that point where we treat it like flu. However, there are those that just wouldn't confine themselves to their suite for a couple of days, until they felt better, they would just carry on as if they didn't have it, when they know they do. If we get to this point of treating it like flu, I would like to think I will always carry antigens with me, and test, and then keep myself to myself, if I were to be positive. Pre-Covid I remember one cruise in particular where a passenger was obviously poorly, a hacking cough, spluttering, sneezing all over the place every day.. why was she at the buffet, and mixing with people? If that were covid, she could've infected the whole ship!
  14. I have to say Fletcher, we don't do it on a smartphone. We will be doing it on a laptop. They send you a link, you click it and dial in to a Microsoft meeting. If you have ever done a Zoom call online, it's similar.
  15. I've made a note of that company for the future, if we need it. Thank you. We have literally just booked a telehealth supervised one in UK. SkywayTesting, never used them before, let's hope it all works out! Last cruise in February the day before flying we went to a Clinic in our nearest town (45 minutes away) for a health professional to test us and therein lies another story. So stressful, it all went wrong, I won't spook anyone with the gory details, we did make the cruise eventually!
  16. Those that moan when you are onboard, just keep it to yourselves, and quietly sort it out in a polite and measured way with a member of staff. They have to realise it impacts other passengers and that's just not fair. Like Mr.Luxury said... who wants to hear this on a sail away?
  17. Our last cruise in February this year was just as good as ever. I couldn't fault anything. The staff were wonderful, as always. Water not cold enough... ask for ice. Luggage labels, do not care, as @Lois10028says, I'm just glad my luggage gets there! As far as laundry sent out in the bags... it always comes back absolutely immaculate, my husband's casual shorts even have a front crease in them from pressing! Anything that needs recyclying, I am happy to do, we should all be the same on that. I'm sure Seabourn Square have pens and paper, they did when we were on in February, as we used the notepad in our suite and needed another couple. My husband is always writing something so we carry a lot of pens anyway! The world has changed, everything is different, there may well be some odd minor hiccups with new staff being trained, although we haven't experienced it, I just feel happy and privileged to be able to cruise with the lovely welcoming staff, and fun, interesting passengers we are lucky enough to meet.
  18. Sorry to hear this, hope you get released soon
  19. You fashion setter you! Far better than socks and sandals! 😂
  20. Thank you. I have everything crossed here. 🤞
  21. Thank you. I think it was luck of the draw. I understand that some visas go for 'manual processing' for no particular reason, I suppose it's just a quality control thing. And my husband's was the one at that moment in time. As I did mine 5 minutes earlier and it was straight through!
  22. Thank you so much for your response. Because they haven't asked for any supporting documentation, I suppose it's just a waiting game, but as you say... very stressful ! I did wonder whether to upload his passport and return air ticket, but I don't want to make the situation worse, and be put at the bottom of the pile by doing that. I have been reading on Trip Advisor and some of the cases worried me! Thank you again, much appreciated.
  23. Help! I'm just posting in desperation really and wondered if anyone from the UK has any feedback. We are on a big cruise coming up. We have a US visa, NZ visa, Canada visa... all OK. We applied online for an eVisitor 651 visa for Australia. Mine came through in 5 minutes. 9 days later nothing for my husband. It's just marked as 'Received'. They haven't asked for any extra information to be uploaded and his passport and circumstances are the same as mine (no name change, no previous convictions, no previous Visas etc) There doesn't seem to be *any* way to chase up at all. Although we don't get to Australia until October, the cruise line will not let us embark without this Visa (it's a 65 day bucket list cruise we are so excited about). Has anyone been in this position, and can offer any help? It's hanging over our heads because I've read this can go on weeks/months for no reason at all. I think it's been picked out for manual processing, no idea why. Thank you in advance. 😊
  24. We are on the Pacific Voyage on Odyssey embarking 30th September Vancouver - Sydney and he will be CD
