  1. On Seaside we were told the same thing about the thermal spa, only a one hour reservation per day. We also didn't get wristbands, told it was a supply issue. I'm envious you had Pringle's available at check-in, we never saw any on Seaside. Thanks for a detailed look at this ship's Yacht Club.
  2. As of last month the cabanas on Seaside are still by reservation only, Royal suite still gets one included. I asked why they had not changed to first come like on the Evo ships and was told it's because they have fewer on Seaside class. On our four night, spending time at Ocean Cay, about three were reserved the entire time by paying guests but at least three remained available for most of the time. I did not see any butlers bringing "amenities" like snacks or a cooler with favorite drinks as they did years ago. Oh, after viewing that video I wanted to add the Seaside Yacht Club pool deck loungers have all lost their cushions, making them fairly uncomfortable. In the cabanas they either had some thin pads or pads made from towels.
  3. My interpretation of "whereas on a port day, it is emptier and guests are welcome" made me feel it was prearranged through the proper channels. I did wonder since I knew the Yacht Club dining room would have been closed but I figured it was being allowed since they would eat at the pool grill.
  4. It was mentioned in Jamie's current live thread. One of her friends was supposed to be allowed to visit other friends in Yacht Club for lunch. It didn't happen, reportedly due to change from port day to sea day.
  5. I recently asked this specific question on Seaside and was told they will no longer allow any Yacht Club guest passes. They were aware of many complaints.
  6. Here's the current Seaside Yacht Club breakfast menu. Not much changed except the format. YC_BREAKFAST.pdf I believe they already sailed, but in regards to the question above our room service menu stated continental breakfast delivery until 10am. YC-ROOM-SERVICE.pdf
  7. I'll also post the Seaside Yacht Club room service menu here. YC-ROOM-SERVICE.pdf
  8. Attached are the dinner menus from our Seaside four night. I was told they do the same first three for the three day cruises. They are also used for the seven night sailings. YC_DINNER_DAY1.pdf YC_DINNER_DAY2.pdf YC_DINNER_DAY3.pdf YC_DINNER_DAY4.pdf
  9. Attached are Seaside lunches, day one through four. There are two slightly different Ocean House since we were there for two days and the YC dining room was closed, only the grill was open on the ship. I was told they do the same first three for the three day cruises. They also should be used on the seven day sailings. 10. I talked to a casino manager on Seaside and was told they had no plans to do a similar change because it will be leaving the US soon. They did think it was likely they would make the same Seascape changes to the Seashore when it comes to the US later this year.
  11. I asked this morning at the YC shuttle loading point and was told they could only take us to the main path split point and we'd have to walk about 100 yards down the specific path to the lighthouse. We were told they weren't allowed to drive on that lighthouse path, however I did see other maintenance carts on the path. We don't have mobility issues so others may get a different answer.
  12. On the East/West Caribbean seven day sailings we had two different sets of seven day menus with no major repeats over 14 days. On current 3/4/7 day Seaside they are running the same menu set for the 3/4, both starting with day one, I was told they will run the same set again for the seven day. So on a 10 or 11 night you would get three or four repeats. If you're on an 11 day non b2b like Meraviglia NY to NY the menu won't repeat.
  13. We were the only ones in Butchers Cut for lunch while we docked at Nassau a little after noon and surprised no one else stayed aboard a little longer for lunch there since all aboard was moved to 6:30. They had 75 reservations last night, day one, and 100 tonight, day two. Very busy at dinner.
  14. On Seaside now, we were offered Butchers Cut, Ocean Cay or the Panasian - now not with the Roy name. We were told no to the Teppanyaki, could not pay a little extra either. Dinner reservations seemed to fill fast due to 3/4 day short sailings and Diamonds trying to squeeze in the meal.
  15. I just completed check in on the app. Taking the picture worked for me after removing my glasses, it did take the picture when my eyes were partially closed. When registering the credit card a verification text request came up in Italian but worked well enough. Total time was about five minutes.
  16. Perhaps on your Caribbean sailing.
  17. We're hoping to stock up on Pringles cans in the waiting area.
  18. We've got an MSC sailing next week. It's a larger difference here but I might be tempted into trying the XO. Likely will stick with the included VSOP. Never been a JWB fan.
  19. Is the Remy XO and JW Blue reasonable enough to sample now that you only pay the difference?
  20. In 2019 Meraviglia docked at Flynn Black Falcon. Not much within easy walking distance. We walked over to Harpoon Brewery and had planned to walk to the Institute of Contemporary Art, but after drinking a few beers decided against it.
  21. I believe the Canadian sailing before ours had terrible weather.
  22. We did very similar cruise Oct 18, 2019. A storm came through the day before sailing and our flights were at risk. Luckily we landed on schedule, but it was a scary landing due to high winds. First day in NYC was breezy and cool, temp was in the low 60's F. We had nicer weather (mid 70's F) for most of the cruise with only one day of moderate rain. We only went out on the sun deck a couple times due to not being in a tropical area. Meraviglia does better than other ships in this area as it's designed for this weather. You can find a link to my Cruise Critic review in my signature.
  23. Would you ask Arthur if he's been able to extend his Seascape contract or if he will leave the ship at the end of this month?
  24. I had a sewage smell issue in a 2Br on Epic. There were two floor drains in the master bath - large chrome grates. I actually think it was coming from the tub drain which is seldom used. Pouring water in all the drains definitely helped.
  25. Sailed Epic in December, Haven was only about 25% sold in all categories. About four weeks before sailing the NCL website instantly flipped to all Haven cabins sold out. The Haven sailed full with many, many upsells. Verified this with the concierge.
