  1. Or maybe someone mistyped your booking number when trying to connect their group.
  2. I 1000% agree. Email is an impersonal, unreliable means of communication. For a matter this important, you need to speak with someone. Texting or calling the right department should get you an answer. I will say that Princess’s response to dietary requests has changed since I first sailed them a year ago, or so it seems. In March 2023, I had a postcard on my stateroom bed on day 1 to bring to the MDR to initiate the food sensitivity/allergy conversation with the headwaiter. On my next cruise in September 2023, I had nothing but my previous experiences to guide me. My issues are not life threatening. If they were, I might share the OP’s anxiety. But I wouldn’t give up after no response to an email. I’d try a different approach. You know what they say about doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
  3. Correction to post above: 1 device wifi charge is $25 a day when purchased for the length of the cruise..
  4. Hold my beer…… and wow, no one got hurt!
  5. As with other lines, there is also Crew Appreciation.
  6. For sure the IC has dairy free milk available. I have seen soy and almond milks there. As described upthread, I work with the headwaiter/DRM my first night. I also ask questions at the buffet - they will grab a chef to help you with choices. Your special meal ordered through the DRM is prepared in a different galley where cross contamination is eliminated. Sorry, but I never order room service breakfast and do not worry about gluten. But I can tell you that Princess does a better job of dealing with food allergies and sensitivities than the other two lines I have sailed.
  7. <yawn> Not for me. Will there be a guarantee that the ship doesn’t leave without you if there’s a problem with the train?
  8. There is at least one DRM (headwaiter) per MDR. On your first night, as soon as a waiter approaches your table, speak up. He or she will bring the DRM to your table. The DRM will take notes and guide you through that nights menu and bring you menus for the next day. After dinner, they will take tomorrow’s order. It works pretty well.
  9. Unlike robes, I’ve never seen a place on the app or website to order slippers. Neither have they been offered by cabin attendants. Perhaps they’re available from the spa.
  10. No slippers. But yours shouldn’t take up much room in your luggage.
  11. I’m taking 2 minor grandchildren on our next cruise. I’ll pay their gratuities and buy them a few sodas. They’ll share internet access with us and won’t need anything else from the Plus package.
  12. Actually they have data that tells them everyone won’t. They’re hoping YOU don’t know that.
  13. I can’t imagine Amtrak from the west coast to Florida being an option for most cruisers. It takes too long. And aren’t there already flights?
  14. Update: the change is now reflected in the excursion page. But the port swap doesn’t show yet in the itinerary page. Like with most things, it will take Princess a bit of time to get its act together.
  15. I have 70 days yet. I have a list of recommended 3rd party excursions my TA sent me. I’ll be going through the list over the next week.
  16. It’s still wrong there and anywhere else I can think to look. It’s no big deal, as I expect Princess will eventually fix the itinerary and show the excursion on the correct date. However, I was looking at 3rd party excursions for the other port in the swap and no longer feel comfortable making those arrangements. Maybe closer to sailing date.
  17. I just received an email from my TA. My 6/15 Enchanted cruise has a modified itinerary. The order of two ports is reversed. We have an excursion booked through Princess for one of those ports. I don’t see the change reflected yet in the app. But I expect it will show up eventually. Should I be concerned about my excursion or should I expect Princess to seamlessly switch it from Tuesday to Wednesday?
  18. Um, we had a different experience. The robes fit my wife and me. At the same time. Ours was huge. I never want to be the guy that fits into it perfectly.
  19. Are you saying there are none? That’s outrageous. Potatoes make up a high percentage of my diet. Can I get a baked potato with breakfast? (We’ve sailed with NCL but I don’t remember).
  20. Maybe I missed the point, but if a cruiser is buying soda, internet and gratuities ala carte, then where is the additional profit? Are you assuming that a non-drinker either buys this imaginary package or nothing at all?
  21. Yeah, there might be “home fries” but they don’t spend long enough in the pan. I want browning and crispy edges.
  22. Assuming you already purchase the components ala carte, they would not make a fortune. Maybe it’s just me, but I will buy what I want or need and at the best price.
  23. I would have said the hash browns at McDonald’s are identical. I had hoped that the MDR breakfast hash browns were better than the buffet, but no. I do like the MDR poached eggs however. As far as the buffet omelet station, delivery logistics could be improved. Maybe something more obvious than a slip of paper instead of watching your omelet circulate around the dining room while the server searches for you. Like, maybe use the medallion to locate the omelet owner?
