  1. Same here. I see 3 categories: MDR, SD and Experiential. It’s not in any of those.
  2. If you’re hooked on a particular flavored sparkling water, you should procure a 12 pack or two prior to boarding to carry on. Of course, many of these come in 8 packs, so be careful you don’t try to bring on too much (12 cans per passenger I think). I favor Spindrift myself. But I can live without it for 7-10 days no problem.
  3. We are still relatively busy despite being retired. Can’t travel whenever we feel like it. The stock market has been quite kind to us over the last year. So, we are taking family with us on our next cruise. We are used to booking a condo at the beach and sharing with kids and grandkids. This seemed like a natural next step. I booked a mini suite and they will be right across the hall in an inside. Next year, who knows?
  4. I don’t know the specifics yet - we don’t sail until June - but I have read here somewhere that ships time will not match port time.
  5. Is it possible that Princess is exploring a third package with additional benefits? That would somewhat limit the extra load on SD.
  6. I have always been able to see the next day’s MDR menu. It’s how Princess manages dietary restrictions and sensitivities.
  7. Well, dang! But since it applies to all cruisers, it shouldn’t really make any difference. I’ll just make the reservations right after final payment.
  8. I have made reservations for the MDR prior to final payment for all three Princess cruises I have booked. Is this something new?
  9. Two per DAY! I want to see if my grandchildren are interested in trying one, but I don’t expect even them to want a second.
  10. I have yet to encounter a problem worse than slowness. But at 84 days out, it offers little of use. I've read somewhere that 10-11 days out, this ugly caterpillar emerges from its crysallis as a beautiful, useful butterfly.
  11. We have only been once and that was September. Weather was warm at times, never frigid. We did get to observe a salmon run in Ketchikan. T-shirts on the ship were closed out at $5 each, which was nice.
  12. Take a cruise to Alaska with Princess. There were 5 craft beers from Alaskan Brewery on board the Sapphire in September.
  13. iOS version.1.1.2 updated overnight on my iPad. I can’t wait to see what “minor bug fixes” it brings.
  14. I would say technically, it’s not allowed. But like several other benefits of a Plus package, it can be shared without fear of being put off the ship at the next port.
  15. Like worrying about being hit by lightning. Of course it could happen. But will it happen to you? Not likely.
  16. We had one in an obstructed ocean view last March.
  17. I ordered a sandwich using Ocean Now around noon on embarkation day. I had a lounge chair by the pool and I wasn’t giving it up. It took about 45 minutes.
  18. Some have reported that they weren’t charged even though the $10 showed on the app. Others have had to see GS onboard to get a $10 OBC refund.
  19. We haven’t found one yet, but the June cruise is with the grandkids and they’re psyched.
  20. We all have our idiosyncrasies. I never turn on the television once I’m on board. Of course, I don’t watch it at home either.
  21. LOL. That’s what one side’s lawyer says. The other one says the operator was negligent for failing to verify age or enforce stated limits. Age is a pretty arbitrary way to eliminate or control risk. If the excursion was in the US, I would expect a long list of warnings and/or exclusions; under 5, over 75, under 350 lbs, no pregnant women, no pacemakers, no wheelchairs, etc.
  22. March 8. 9 am. Old app still up and functioning.
  23. There are some out there that could eat their weight in specialty desserts daily. Not recommended, of course. But gratuities, internet, mocktails, water, soda, casual dining might get them to breakeven.
  24. 99 days out and mine shows “Board Games Available”. Woohoo.
