  1. We do as well and waiters seem to really like it because when we return they make a mad dash towards us to get our drink order.
  2. I've been pleasantly surprised how quickly it gets updated after submitting. for me within 72 hours.
  3. As for Diamond vouchers, if I recall correctly, you can start using them on embarkation day after the ship leaves port, correct?
  4. I previously booked two excursions then saw the prices went down for the Black Friday sale. I cancelled the excursions then tried to rebook for the lower rate but it kept showing the old price at the check out. I logged out, cleared all the cookies and history and logged back on. Same issue, it won't give me the sale price. Any suggestions?
  5. How far in advance of the cruise can you apply? We are sailing the first week of April.
  6. Took my sister in law and her husband on cruise 1-11 Sep. She really wanted to see them and I told her it was a very slim chance at best. Then on first sea day at night which wss probably around 3:30 AM the sky lit up in pale green then began an Incredible display of green light dancing in the night sky. It would appear, disappear then appear. Like a switch being turned off and on over and over again. That's the only time we saw it. The weather was nothing short of outstanding with clear night skies and bright stars.
  7. Majority of the time I book independent excursions but took a chance on the NCL excursion. Was a pleasant surprise. Tour operator was very professional, personable and great humor. He made it fun with detailed explanations. Saw many whales up close. Also saw sea lions and otters. Boat was big enough to move around and see the sights without feeling crowded. Plenty of personal space inside and out on viewing decks. Money well spent.
  8. We recently did a 10 day RT out of Seattle 1-11 Sep cruise on Norwegian Spirit. It was recently refurbished and in my opinion a beautiful ship. Holds approximately 2100 passengers but we sailed at roughly 50% capacity. It's not a large ship but met our requirements. This was our 16th cruise but first for Alaska. We feel it was our best cruise ever. We sail predominantly in the Caribbean so it's hard to compare but this cruise far exceeded our expectations. I'd do this exact cruise again in a heartbeat.
  9. One of the hot tubs is right outside. No noise from there and it was nice to be that close. Though we initially had noise late at night and they made an effort to minimize it. Not a reason to dislike the cabin.
  10. Sorry about the upside down pictures. It wouldn't let me adjust. Better upside down than none at all.
  11. We looked for information on this cabin before sailing on 10 day Alaska cruise. We couldn't find anything after the renovation. Great cabin with lots of space. Much larger than standard balcony. Only negative is they power wash the deck above between 11 PM and 1:30 AM. You can hear chairs and tables being dragged. After 3 nights of this I called guest services and most of the noise at night was minimized. I'd book this cabin again.
  12. I had an 11:25 flight on SWA. Just self disembarked off the Spirit at 07:35. Plenty of taxi's waiting outside. Was airport bound at 07:55. Took 25 minutes to get to the airport. Less than 10 minutes to get boarding passes and luggage tags. Took about 30 minutes to go through security. We were fortunate as no hiccups or delays. On 10 day Alaska cruise on Spirit with roughly 50% capacity. Wonderful cruise!
  13. Thanks for the feedback. Very similar process on both Carnival and Royal.
  14. Haven't sailed NCL in over 12 years. How do they do the muster drill, is it done on the app like RCL and Carnival?
  15. Yes we know the risks. Will do self disembarkation, have early bird on SWA and will have boarding passes in hand, plan to check bags with porter outside terminal and try to schedule TSA pass online.
  16. Our flight out is 1125 so unable to use port valet. Hoping everything lines up for us to make the flight.
  17. What time is your flight now? We are sailing on 2 Sep too.
  18. Hope you don't mind if I use your post. For those using pier 66 if you self disembark roughly what time do you clear customs and are there many taxis waiting. How much time to get to airport on a Monday as not sure how many military troops may be flying out at the same time. Currently have a 11:25 AM flight and port valet isn't an option, too early.
  19. How early can you reserve this meaning do I have to wait until the check in option on NCL is available?
  20. Do you have a link to port valet? How did you schedule this? Thanks
  21. It says there is no fee to use it. We are flying SWA with early bird passes. If I read correctly we will get this boarding pass on the ship? Almost too good to be true.
  22. Never heard of this before but sounds great. I'll have to check it out.
  23. Probably a cab since we don't do uber or lyft.
