We are sailing by NCL Jewel in Dec 2023 and going to Indonesia which requires a visa . What address do you put on the application form when it asks you ? I called NCL cust service and no one knows. The application form is asking for an address in Indonesia even if I chose arriving by sea .
I am on that cruise someone on roll call shared this address. I used it and our visa were approved. It took 3 business days.
Nha Trang seaport, 05 Tran Phu, Vinh Hoa, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa province. -

Everyone received a card, we did our own thing for tours etc. please note that this was our experience with Azamara. We have also visited with Princess some years ago (Phu My) who also arranged the same thing but at a much more significant cost to each pax.
NCL will not discuss visas with its passengers prior to boarding. We are doing a back to back. Better safe than sorry. Our multi-entry visa is good for both cruises for only $50.

We had one day in Bali in March 2023 on Azamara and they arranged the visa for all on the ship (other than those who obtained their own prior to sailing) - cost of $32 USD or thereabouts was charged to our On board account. If they can do it why can't other cruise lines do the same?
Good question but you would have to address that with the other cruise lines. The cruise lines can only answer that question. I do know that some cruise lines charge double or more the actual cost of the visa. In my case we are doing a back to back and it was quite possible we may have been charge $600 or more for visa as we are doing a back to back. Some note that you the passenger are responsible for securing your visa(s).

We also enter another problem. They need an address for when we are visiting Vietnam. We put down our cruise ship " Celebrity Soltice " and the application was turned down due to that. What address did you put down if cruising for the evisa? Thanks.
No, I did not put the cruise ship as the name. Someone on the same cruise I am on reached out to the Vietnam Embassy and was giving this as the address. Please keep in mind I am on an NCL cruise ship and we may not dock in the same location. The address I used: Nha Trang seaport, 05 Tran Phu, Vinh Hoa, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa province. Good luck.

Can you please tell me how you filled out the Fullname field? I have listed last name, first name, middle name. I have listed first name, middle name, last name. I keep getting denied. I have listed exactly as soon on the bottom of my passport. Very frustrated! They won't answer inquiries either!
You are so correct they will not answer inquiries. For SURNAME I put in my last name. For GIVEN NAME I put first then middle as it appears on the passport. If suing a middle name please make sure you put a space between the first and middle name. PLEASE DO NOT USE A COMMA BETWEEN THE FIRST AND MIDDLE NAME. Let me know if that works.
If this does not work then it must be something else wrong.

We have been granted our multiple entry Vietnam visas. Cost for a multi-entry visa $50. Single entry $25. Took about 3 business days to be approved.

What type of address and post code do they want? Do you mean our home address or one in Indonesia? Of course, we don't have one in Indonesia because we are on a cruise ship!
I used the address where the ship will port, which I got from NCL. However, the postal code NCL gave me was in correct and they left me on my own to figure that out. After much research I got the correct postal code. The EVOA is good until the end of December. The cost was around $33.00.

Finally, what I have been waiting to hear. I report this was in the works a few weeks ago. This will save me a few $ since we are doing back to back and both have stops in Vietnam.

Per the news article below we can apply online for multi entry visas starting on August 15 -
"The National Assembly on April 24 approved extending tourist e-visas from 30 to 90 days, starting from August 15, 2023, at its ongoing fifth session.
Upon being granted an e-visa, a foreigner can enter and exit an unlimited number of times within 90 days, without having to go through procedures for obtaining a new visa"

In 2019 we completed a b2b Sydney to Auckland to Sydney on the Jewel (21 days). The Sounds were spectacular. Loved every port in New Zealand. We spent Christmas in Sydney. We felt it was worth every penny.

This visa will be a multi-entry 90 days. This will be great for those of us doing b2b cruises. As it stands now we have to apply for Vietnam visas for both cruise as current visas are single entry and 30 days. My DH and I will only need to apply for one visa. Something should be announced sometime in June. I am following this one closely.
It appears, Vietnam is hoping to increase tourism with this new visa.

We’ve used dayuse.com. Not all day rooms require you to be out by 5 or 6 pm at least not here in the US. We are looking into to booking a 12pm to 9pm time slot in LA.

Great idea. We utilize a day room when had a long lay over during our Austrian/New Zealand cruise. We are looking into one for our upcoming Asian cruises.
Practical Vaccine Advice

We check with our PC physician. We give her a list of all the countries we will visit and she does the research. Vaccines are recommended based on her research and our medical history. I would never trust anything dealing with my health to an “experience Asia traveler’s practical advice”.
