Our PCC said he "Checked with his friend in the Mariner Society and that is correct" so I took his word for it.

I think you are right about that. Our PCC said it is a Verandah but on the WC it is eligible for double points.

Oh, we want to go pretty bad alright. The thing is, we won't take an inside or a Pinnacle either. We want a Signature Suite and are willing to buy one just like all the other people who apparently have already beaten us to it.

I remember one sea day where the highlight activity was (and I actually DID this) was weaving yarn into "luggage identifiers". The poor activities person was the most bored out of us all!

Waiters needing to "clean" the utensils is a problem in itself. What if they forget or are not thorough enough? The washing equipment should be checked. I believe the story.

Well, we definitely thought about that but we didn't want to get "stuck" with it if a SS does not become available. We don't want to do it in anything less than a Signature Suite.

I took my one and only cruise with RCI back in April and I could not believe the difference in entertainment! On the RCI ship, everywhere you turned there were entertainment staff doing a wonderful job of keeping the fun going. Granted, it is a different product appealing to a different demo but the contrast was startling. It wasn't too many years ago that HAL was at least in that ball-park. Now, HAL is extremely lacking in the day to day fun which can make sea days longer for some.

We put down a deposit for a Signature Suite for the 2024 WC. The last time I checked, Vista Suites and Neptune Suites were available for immediate booking but there is a waitlist for SS. Is anyone else around here on the Signature Suite waitlist? The suspense is killing me. Thanks.

I see people here "advertise" for random cabin mates in order to get the PPDO rate. Even willing to share an inside with a complete stranger for 4 months. There has to be a more reasonable and less chancy alternative? Thanks.

I know the question is impossible to answer but the wait is excruciating. We could book a Vista Suite or a Neptune Suite right now but if you want a Signature Suite (we do we love them) you pay a deposit and "wait" to see if they will give you one. We have done this and are now on the "list". Has anyone ever gone through this and how long did it take before you were offered a cabin? Thanks.

True, but in this case it was a courtesy to the guest because he felt underdressed.

Good deal from Veranda to Neptune. We wouldn't do it if we were already in a Signature Suite. We find that they are more than adequate for the two of us and the added expense of a Neptune just isn't needed but again, definitely from Veranda to Neptune for that price. Nice!

Well, I did manage to get a new PCC and we already like her. My T/A (who happens to be our old PCC) said straight out that he can only match HAL's price, not beat it. He also neglected to offer any OBC or even a welcome bottle of champagne ON A WORLD CRUISE! He does have extensive experience and said that is the reason to choose him over any others. I read on CC all the time about T/A's being so much better than HAL PCC's because of the extra perks etc. I guess I need to keep searching...

Actually, I'm trying to compare fares/perks etc between our "new" PCC and our TA who just happens to be our OLD HAL PCC.

I'd like to talk to a knowledgeable human about options. We're contemplating a World Cruise. I would like a personal contact at HAL if that is still possible? So far, no contact.
