  1. No, just being nosey ! I didn't think there was any benefit in one side or the other, so was interested as to why you wanted the port side.
  2. Any particular reason for choosing port over starboard ?
  3. Oh yes - why not ? 😃 Plus, on P&O at least, in the unlikely event of not finishing the bottle in the MDR, they no longer store the bottle for you, so you have no choice but to carry it around with you.
  4. Not offered on our June cruise. The PP package is bought by so many pax that these type of deals have become unnecessary.
  5. Same constituents as a Mimosa, but one big difference. In a Mimosa, two thirds of the drink is orange juice, in a Bucks Fizz, two thirds of the drink is champagne (or Cava) !
  6. Good grief ! How many other people here will recognise that name ! Surely he was never famous in the US ?
  7. Not sure if the wine package is available anymore.
  8. Purdey, I'm sure you'll have a great trip. Sounds like you have a great cabin. Our last time on Arcadia, our cabin creaked so much, that we were moved to a cabin near the external midship lifts. Great location, but, oh so worn out . Our next cruise is on Sky (again) which we love.
  9. Yes, I might have to wait until noon for a "sharpener "!
  10. I was born in Colchester, also known a Camulodunum, the Roman capital of Britain, until Boudicca torched it around 63BC, so yes, I enjoyed museums as they resonated with my heritage. You don't know who you are, until you know who you have been.
  11. No issue with making fun for children. It is infantile adults thinking it fun to hide bits of plastic for other adults to find that seems incomprehensible.
  12. I don't know. On a sea day, starting with a couple of Bucks Fizz with breakfast, lunch time beers, afternoon cocktails, aperitifs, wine with dinner and a nightcap or two, 15 is not really a problem. However, getting up the next day might be an issue !
  13. I assume this was a Princess excursion. Did you consider one of the many independent excursions that are available, which, by the sound of your tour , would be far more interesting ?
  14. In which case, just pay as you go. As you like wine, buy it by the bottle, and take it with you as you walk around the ship. Much cheaper than buying by the glass.
  15. The bigger the ship, the less opportunity to go to new ports. Sun Princess will go around the same old ports, as she can't go anywhere new.
  16. In one word "No". But the PP package.
  17. Viator are just an agency. Try and book direct.
  18. Just look at Spain Day Tours. Highly recommended
  19. Not exactly surprising !
  20. I got a letter from Ernie today. £25 ! Enough for more paint for the shed floor and some bifold glass doors. On second thoughts, perhaps not the floor paint !
  21. True, Lipton hardly deserves the name tea ! And a tea bag needs to be left in a minimum of three minutes !
  22. Unfortunately showing her age. Could do with a mega refit. My wife won't cruise on her again. I think we've been spoilt by the more modern Princess ships.
