  1. The shareholder obc has never stopped. Do you mean the dividend?
  2. Actually, it will be $2 plus 18% service charge, so $2.36 in total.
  3. So, what is the answer ? Personally, I cannot see the point of compulsory mask wearing whilst walking down a corridor, sitting in the atrium etc, when you can sit and eat and drink with other passengers with no masks needed at all. Plus, going ashore, no one will be masked in the local bars, museums, shops etc, so why bother.? At the very least get back to testing immediately prior to boarding. By so doing, you will start each cruise with a relatively clean slate.
  4. At my age, I should be so lucky !
  5. I don't think P&O sell blocks of cabins to TAs. They allow certain TAs (with interesting reputations !) to sell cruises with specific guest entertainers, but that would not apply to Aurora.
  6. Vamps - so sorry that you have been unwell. Hopefully the protection you now have will make it all worthwhile. As you are so young compared to most of us here, I dont think you qualify for the flu vaccination. You have to be over 55 I think.
  7. Yes - very funny. I agree - the dress to impress nights especially can be very funny. You think, who and how would anyone be impressed by what they are wearing !
  8. I also imagine that most staff would be paid in USD , not GBP. If that is the case, P&O's wage bill has suddenly gone up 10%!
  9. Perhaps mine is posher than yours !😁 Do you get the hot taper wafted around your ears to burn off all the little hairs?
  10. Good job you had your blood pressure taken before eating that lot 😁!
  11. That's three times more than I pay, and I don't have to endure hard sell at the end !
  12. Actually they promise nothing. The exact wording is that they will "work with" the airline to find seats to enable you to catch up the ship at some point. A big difference. If there are no seats available, Princess are powerless, as the passengers in Athens found out.
  13. John, are you saying that you find the passengers wearing shorts and football shirts hilarious?
  14. Without re-opening an old thread, the issue was that the UK passengers arrived in Athens on a late Saturday afternoon, on a budget flight. There were no Princess personnel at the airport, and no one in the US answered their calls. They were left to their own devices. EZair might well be a good option if you want to change your flights at short notice (but why would you? That is what travel insurance is for ) but there is no additional support. You are basically on your own. So really, for Europeans with travel insurance, EZair is a waste of time.
  15. We've just returned from a week in Ilfracombe. Lovely weather, lovely views, and a great apartment, but at £900 for a week, it wasn't cheap. Off to Lanza in November where our villa with a private pool will cost £200 a week less ! I think all holiday companies, those renting out accommodation etc will face a tough few years. Those in the UK will have benefited from the staycation boom, but the opportunity to charge sky high prices is now over.
  16. Unbelievable! Mind you, 7 night fly/cruises are always super expensive as the flight costs are amortized over such a short period.
  17. Thanks Jimmy. You have more patience than I do!
  18. See my post #4. There is no time restriction on the booster. As an aside, I'm having my second booster on Friday. My wife has had three so far, as she is at risk.
  19. That I would like, but only as a fly/cruise option.
  20. Totally agree. My final salary pension is limited to a maximum increase of 5% pa. My government pension may increase by 10%, but the actual cash increase is relatively small. My share portfolio is creaking after the latest government "brainwave". So, allocating funds to holidays of any type in 2024 seems unwise. But, perhaps, a £10 deposit might just tempt me, although I imagine P&O accountants might not be happy.
  21. Realistically Sharon, how likely is that ? The itineraries are pretty much written in stone.
  22. Sorry - disagree. It ckearly states that after 270 days you need a booster.
  23. Seems cheaper to buy Carnival shares and get the shareholder obc rather than pay for the Premium package ! (Unless you want photographs that you will never look at again, and hope to win an unspecified prize in an unspecified game).
  24. There is no time limit on the booster. It us quite clear. 270 days after your initial vaccination course, you need a booster. Simples !
