Thanks for putting me right about Wizz - never knew that.
However, as I will never fly with Wizz due to their terrible customer service, I will not avail myself of their generous allowances.
We use it to make a cup of tea before going to breakfast, or to make a cup of afternoon tea when sitting on the balcony.
No point ordering tea from room service, as the hot water provided is never hot enough to release the flavour if the tea.
Just shows how we are all different. We enjoy a leisurely two hour meal, with drinks and chat. Eating dinner in less than 30 minutes is no different to eating at home.
If Sydney is anything like as efficient as Southampton, and I am sure it is, any delay should be minimal. After all, in essence it is no different to the days when you collected your cruise card at check in.
I agree - comparing cruise lines is always informative, and there is every justification for comparing P&O to Saga on this forum, in the same way as there would be in comparing P&O to Princess.
After all, it appears that there are far more people interested in moving from P&O to Saga than vice versa.
Jean, I wondered how long it would take you to reply!
You can say exactly the same about Viking, Oceania, Almazara etc. There are plenty of people out there who are prepared to pay for more space, better food, superior service etc. You are happy to accept lower standards and an interior balcony at a commensurate price.
You are happy with your choice - others are happy with theirs.
I know everyone likes a quiz first thing in the morning, so here is a simple multiple choice question for today. Please note, only one answer is correct.
Q. You are a middle aged, slightly overweight man, who is going out with his wife. You plan to wear a garish nylon looking football shirt, emblazoned with the name of a shonky online betting company. Where are you going ?
1. A family christening
2. The theatre
3. A restaurant for a nice meal and drinks
4. Wetherspoons for an all day breakfast and four pints of cheap lager.
Answer available tomorrow.
