  1. Surely all electric kettles have to have an auto cut off ? Certainly that is the case in the UK.
  2. Thanks for putting me right about Wizz - never knew that. However, as I will never fly with Wizz due to their terrible customer service, I will not avail myself of their generous allowances.
  3. Of course you can. (BA/Iberia) You will be allowed two suitcases, but each case cannot weigh more than 23kg.
  4. I'm a little trepidatious about what our American friends might find !
  5. But surely you are limited to 23kg on the flight from Spain ?
  6. We use it to make a cup of tea before going to breakfast, or to make a cup of afternoon tea when sitting on the balcony. No point ordering tea from room service, as the hot water provided is never hot enough to release the flavour if the tea.
  7. It is an electric kettle - used throughout the civilised world !
  8. Just shows how we are all different. We enjoy a leisurely two hour meal, with drinks and chat. Eating dinner in less than 30 minutes is no different to eating at home.
  9. Primarily to make copious cups of tea (for us Brits) or instant coffee.
  10. If Sydney is anything like as efficient as Southampton, and I am sure it is, any delay should be minimal. After all, in essence it is no different to the days when you collected your cruise card at check in.
  11. If older means more sophisticated, I agree !
  12. 5 day cruise to Liverpool and back - late substitution for cancelled TAs due to tech difficulties
  13. I agree - comparing cruise lines is always informative, and there is every justification for comparing P&O to Saga on this forum, in the same way as there would be in comparing P&O to Princess. After all, it appears that there are far more people interested in moving from P&O to Saga than vice versa.
  14. Jean, I wondered how long it would take you to reply! You can say exactly the same about Viking, Oceania, Almazara etc. There are plenty of people out there who are prepared to pay for more space, better food, superior service etc. You are happy to accept lower standards and an interior balcony at a commensurate price. You are happy with your choice - others are happy with theirs.
  15. I guess you don't understand the meaning of the word "irony".
  16. Yes, but giving too many options might have confused the average football shirt wearer !
  17. From a personal point of view, would you be happy carrying your suitcase if it weighed 30 kg. ?
  18. I know everyone likes a quiz first thing in the morning, so here is a simple multiple choice question for today. Please note, only one answer is correct. Q. You are a middle aged, slightly overweight man, who is going out with his wife. You plan to wear a garish nylon looking football shirt, emblazoned with the name of a shonky online betting company. Where are you going ? 1. A family christening 2. The theatre 3. A restaurant for a nice meal and drinks 4. Wetherspoons for an all day breakfast and four pints of cheap lager. Answer available tomorrow.
  19. That is $16 pppd, which is correct, as per current Princess policy. Why is it wrong ?
  20. Our experience is that it takes the check in staff perhaps as long as rwo minutes to locate your Medallion and give it to you.
  21. Should be an experience for you, cruising with 99% Brits ! Look forward to reading your comments.
  22. I'm not sure in what universe a football shirt can be considered smart ! Comfortable, relaxed, yes, but smart - never.
