  1. Not required in Europe.
  2. I think it very much depends if you get a "jobsworth" at check in. Of course at Southampton you would have no problem at all.
  3. I think Carnival already do that. Called "First to the Fun" I think.
  4. The OP is used to American levels of service, as found on Princess, Celebrity etc, where drinks are routinely served to your table in the buffet. P&O are very poor in this regard.
  5. For one mug, possibly, but not if you want to boil enough water for a teapot. And the water has to be boiling hot - not that easy getting a container full of boiling hot water out of a microwave.
  6. Yes, but surely it would be easier to look at the RCI web site than ask here.
  7. Just get a taxi. Less than £10. Just to add, you would normally ask this sort of question in the "ports of call " forum, as it is not P&O specific.
  8. OK - another thought. Megabus, direct from Manchester to London.
  9. Agreed. I have paid for the Plus package, which includes everything. If a member of staff goes over and above during the cruise, then yes, I will show my appreciation. Otherwise, my Euros stay in the safe.
  10. @voljeep are you reading this ? Supports my claim that you get $15 drinks regardless of the price you paid for the Plus package.
  11. Thanks - to be honest, I've really only ever looked at the Olly Smith house wines. We have a lot of obc later this year, so perhaps we will splash out.
  12. I agree, but just thought I would give the option.
  13. Cutting down on port costs ?
  14. That is true, and we have done the Barcelona to Athens sectors. But it would be good if Princess offered 14 day round trips from Athens.
  15. We select our boarding times with Princess, but have never been asked what it is !
  16. You could argue that a bottle of wine costing £10, plus the £20 corkage, would be better than any of the £30 wines on the P&O wine list.
  17. AFAIK coaches don't have an allotted time as such. They leave their various departure points with the expectation that they will arrive early afternoon. It is a little unrealistic to expect a coach coming from Glasgiw to hit a precise arrival time.
  18. Well, all I can say is that three weeks ago, I had the old package, and drinks up to $15 were included. How much more proof do you need?
  19. It shows that I have the Plus drinks package. The Plus drinks package allows alcoholic drinks up to $15 in value. QED, I can order drinks up to $15.
