If there is no way you can extend to a balcony, take plenty of reading material, things to keep you occupied and anything that will keep you sane.
You can take every precaution known to man and still get COVID...it happened to us, and at least we had a BIG balcony but it was still terrible being stuck in a small space for 10 days!
Have you had COVID already?
Covid seems to be quite random I was in a car last week with three girl friends and we all ate together now they all have Covid and I don’t.
I have a loaded kindle and a pack of cards and a iPad loaded with off line movies

And should change the laws to stop over a certain age having to vote while there at it.
Compulsory voting is madness for all ages, many just have names crossed off to avoid a fine others write obscenities on the voting papers, high time to revamp it.

Did you buy direct? If not ask the person you booked through to keep an eye out for you. How long until your cruise? People have to cancel for all sorts of reasons. Good Luck!
No travel agent but just had a talk with my travel friend and she can’t afford a balcony, I would be stretching myself so we will just have to hope for the best NZ 6 th Feb

Main thing keep using those masks when in close contact with others, don't care what they think.
No fun sitting in any cabin for most of a cruise.
Sanitise, don't touch hand rails, don't use lifts if possible, you know all the usual cruise things.
Have fun'
Have just purchased some of the N95 masks for us and am always vigilant with the sanitation

Were you allowed to take in some fresh air once in awhile?
Hoping it never eventuates for us in Feb but there seems to be a lot of Covid around both on land and sea

no it is for a princess cruise....our cruise was made up of payment and cruise credit that they gave us for our diamond princess cruise that went into lockdown...my probem is if I let them know they may make me pay my husbands cruise credit part of the payment we fully paid for the cruise months ago
I doubt Princess will do that.
My husband is not able to travel with me in February next year and he had the same credits I did I emailed solutions@princess and explained the situation and they were kind enough to transfer them over to me.

The intermittent wearing of masks is one of the leading spreaders of covid. Continually putting on or off to eat and touching it and your face is the problem as people believe because they have a mask they are somehow protected. Masks have a much bigger benefit for those with it to stop them spreading it.
Agreed, I have seen people wearing them on their wrists waving their arms around.
Lots of people on the back row when they gave out common sense.

Thinking of you all - hope your symptoms are mild and you do test negative when it's time. We both had COVID in late June and even in mid July when we were in Singapore we were still very tired - no other lingering symptoms just quite fatigued so hope are all fine.
My 47 year old daughter who was super fit and active before Covid in January is still suffering fatigue, hope yours doesn’t last as long.

Two heads are better than one, hearing the results correctly.
That’s for sure it’s easy to mis interpret when you are not feeling the best.

We're going in Novemeber and I've already jokingly told my husband if he reduces his onboard drinking I will reduce my onboard shopping.
As we have already paid the onboard tips I don't think we will be coming home with much of a bill on this cruise given the terrible exchange rate, it will make us think about every purchase.
We thought we'd try them out as we love going on new ships (new to us that is) and we aren't able to go on overseas trips at the moment.
In 2019 we sailed Princess out of Southampton and it was of course in US dollars so HAL may give us another choice for overseas cruises and they have very good long itineraries.
They used to have a couple of Happy Hours a day buy one get one for
(used to be $1]

Just keep up the good work with masks at the theatre in particular. Not many people wearing masks in Parramatta, except at Drs Chemists etc.
The same here on the Sunshine Coast crowded shopping centres no 😷 masks to be seen.

Hi Don
Any chance you could get a friend or relative who has a smart phone to log into the app on your behalf and do your boarding time? You can log in using name/date of birth/booking number. They could then pick a time and take a snapshot of the QR code and print it out for you. I have managed to print out mine because I don't have a great plan on my phone and may not be able to log on in the terminus. Hope they will accept it.
Regarding log on…..you could take a screen shot prior to check in no need for log in just leave it in your album and have it ready

I saw a picture of the new carpet on the other site, looks very flash.
One would have thought if it needed new carpet it could have been done during the time it was idle, or maybe I suppose it wasn’t available

We have just finished packing in plenty of time for a train to Sydney tomorrow. We will spend a night at the Marriot, and board on Thursday. I am hoping to catch some movements of Pacific Adventure, Pacific Explorer and Carnival Splendor during our time in Sydney.
We have 11 nights this time, our first real holiday in a while. Number one priority is to chill, relax and enjoy our trip, but will have much more time to get around the ship and get plenty of photos. Also looking forward to our day in Port Douglas. With cruising shut down in 2020, we were going to take our Hawaiian cruise refund up there for a holiday, until Annastasia locked us out on short notice.
We booked this cruise in a roundabout way, late in 2020, for October 2021 on Royal Princess. We thought that would be a low risk cruise for when everything restarted. No such luck, so it became Royal Princess in November 2022, until Princess changed their mind. So here it is, and we scored an extra night for nothing, although our mini was slightly downgraded to a lower location.
If boarding is half as good as our recent Coral cruise, we will be ecstatic - in medallion we trust. 😁
Coral has been so easy to settle in to on two short cruises, so I am curious to how different a Royal class will feel. So far, every Princess ship we have boarded has felt familiar is a short time. Bring it on!!
Wishing you both a happy holiday,,,have fun 🤩🤩 hope the weather is kind

Could be a disaster Julie, the yanks are saying from 27 Oct, no masks, crew and pax. Surely our governments Aus and Nz should keep the mask mandate on the ships.
What next No vaccinations

Not heard that and in the main people are pretty much all wearing masks. If we are in close proximity to people than we pop one on, but if not beat anyone we just carry with us and don’t put on. I appreciate it’s a very varied topic.
Yes varied topic indeed and to each his own I think it’s a bit premature if there is any truth to it and of course people can still wear masks if they choose

Pricing is a bit rich
in Australia & New Zealand Cruisers
Posted
Just responding to a Princess ad on another platform about “launch prices” but what did stand out to me was a 28 day round Australia in March 23 where you could get a inside cabin for the bargain basement price of $9790 which equates to $349 that is a bit out there in my opinion,,,,,,other thoughts .
Actually it was just advertised at $11190 as the plus fare I got the standard fare from another source.
