NY is so convenient for us, and saves us on airfare and pre-cruise hotel costs, but gets us on higher cruise fare than other departure ports have. Agree-I'm in NE NJ so right over the GW Bridge. I wish CCL would bring back winter cruises. I don't mind first and last day cold for convenience of sailing from here. We always cruised in May also-our anniversary is 5/12 we cruised over that/Mother's Day. They start cruises in June now. OP-glad you had a good cruise. I'll be on Magic on Saturday going to Bermuda. One question: I know "food is subjective" but what was your complaint about MDR food. No flaming-just interested.

Okay, I KNOW I'm OBSESSING, but......I have PCR test scheduled for Wednesday 9/21-my cruise is Saturday 9/24. IS THIS OK??? Also I sent in my TA on 9/7. Was OBSESSING about that too. Got it yesterday 😁 Please help an obsessive lady out!

OP, sorry about your family member. I have another question. I do not plan to use my phone on cruise. I would like to take pictures and use CCL hub app. Should I put phone on airplane mode as soon as I board the ship but I'd still be able to do pictures and app? I am very technically challenged lol. TIA

I have never ordered food items from room service such as sandwiches, etc. We have, however, on a number of cruises, had an aft wrap balcony cabin for which we paid a premium price. So we always enjoyed ordering room service pot of coffee and perhaps a danish in the morning so that we could start our day peacefully on the balcony we paid "extra" for. Shaky Beef, have you taken the tray on a cruise? I'm cruising 9/24 and have severe bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome. Just holding a cup is awkward and painful. I'm thinking a tray would be a God send for me!

Might be a good idea to pack some warm clothes in case they divert you to Canada. Our first cruise was to Bermuda. I believe Hurricane Gloria was in the area so we left Bermuda a day early so captain could take ship further off the coast and around the storm. I've been thru some rough seas and weathered them pretty well-no pun intended! Worst was trying to walk AFTER I got off the ship! Took a few days to get my land legs back. Just realize whatever the captain does is for the safety of the passengers. I'm cruising week after you. Have a great time!

No, CCL Magic to Bermuda 9/24. Is there a difference between tests? PCR is $200 antigen is $60. Sent TA 5 days ago-haven't heard but they acknowledged they received it.

Ok this is going to sound absolutely absurd, but do they actually TASTE like cucumbers and basil? I LOVE to EAT cukes and love basil as a seasoning but not sure I want to DRINK them! 😛 Has anyone had Pirate Punch?

Okay, I need help ASAP so I can schedule. I know this sounds dumb, but I want to make SURE I do it right! Leaving Sat. 9/24-arrival at ship 10-10:30. I should take the test Thursday BUT 1st appt. is 11:45. This is technically LESS than 2 days. Do they count the HOURS or just the DAYS? Can I make 11:45 Thursday??? TIA

Thanks but I couldn't. It just kind of froze. Whale tail went in circles lol. I checked on my phone and I was able to semi finish. They gave me an arrival time so that's what I wanted.

I did just that! I am at our summer camp. Didn't have passport-DS2 took picture and sent. Could NOT figure out how to upload-I was in PANIC MODE!!!! Sent out an SOS and everyone and the bears showed up. 😊Mission accomplished!!!! For some reason it took a bunch of tries to get my CC thru. Some security errors, then THAT went thru. 👍 I have to go back to school this winter or have one of my grands teach me how to do this stuff. Youngest is 6 1/2 months. I think she knows more than me!!! Hope you are having a great cruise!🍻
