  1. Just off adventure on 7/8. Shows were at 7:30 and 9:30. The ice show was offered on 2 different days, one day 7:30 and 9:30 and the other day 6:30 and 8:30. We never had a problem finding a seat but we did go about 15-20 mins prior to show time. The doors open for the shows 1/2 hour ahead of time. Enjoy your cruise!!
  2. I just write it on too, but another idea if you don’t want to write it or take the time to figure out how to input the info before printing, slap one of your return address labels on that if like me you get a million of for free in the mail!😂
  3. Ice show is “cool art…hot ice”. There will also be a welcome aboard show and a farewell show featuring a comedian. Just did Adventure 7/1-7/8.
  4. Do the balcony so you have unobstructed views of the glaciers as you sail past. No one in your way to block the sites or ruin your pictures. We put on our coats, hats and gloves and used the blankets from our room. We loved every minute of our personal viewing space!
  5. We used Hilton Garden Inn Seattle Airport. There was a free airport shuttle to the hotel. I called the hotel before booking and was told we could sign up for a shuttle that would transport us to the cruise pier. I don’t remember the cost of the shuttle but it was reasonable. Both the hotel shuttle and the cruise pier shuttle were very timely. We would definitely use this hotel again. Our stay was July 2019.
  6. Yes and it was the quickest embarkation and disembarkation that we’ve had in all of our 29 cruises, facial recognition or not! We just did adventure of seas from 7/1-7/8 from port Everglades.
  7. Cafe promenade is just a few steps away. Pizza was really good. Did not try the sandwiches. Coconut ranger cookies are delicious and the chocolate chip cookies were also good.
  8. Schedule shows, book specialty dining, eat lunch, grab a much needed cocktail!!😂 Enjoy your cruise. If you have any tips, suggestions, opinions on the Wonder after you cruise, please post as I’m on wonder in December
  9. Hopefully when you are on board, Sheldon will still be one of the bartenders in the Duck and Dog. We are just off the Adventure and he really made our Duck and Dog experience fun.
  10. Definitely balcony!! We had unobstructed views when sailing to view the glaciers, meaning no other people in the way for some great views and pictures!!
  11. @The Fun Researcher, we were on the week before
  12. We did this on the Anthem in March. Had a great time!! And we now make sushi at home! We had so much that I did not eat all of mine. DH forced it all down. So do not eat breakfast that morning. When it was done, we all got certificates for completing the class! The pictures below show the amount of food that you make per person!!
  13. We are also NCL past cruisers who jumped ship to RCL. We do not see any difference in dress. Show times are comparable to the times on NCL. Food was slightly better but with some recent changes they are now about the same. They both have expensive drink packages, extra charge for specialty restaurants and internet. We enjoy both lines, but have been sticking to RCL because DH gets way better casino offers.
  14. We did free and pay. We enjoyed both. Free just goes up in air while in a port. We had awesome views of the whole island at Coco Cay. The paid time goes out over the sides of the ship. We enjoyed both and got some amazing pictures, especially when out over the side. I definitely would do the free time in port again. Not sure if I would pay again since it would be basically the same type of pictures but I’m not saying I wouldn’t do it either.
  15. I call for every cruise. DH gets Deluxe package and I get the Refreshment package. But as stated before, you have to call if you want to do it before you board, which is cheaper than waiting till you get on. But they will do it on embarkation day also but it will be more expensive then.
  16. We didn’t have seaweed at Nellies beach last July.
  17. I didn’t think I would enjoy Alaska because I hate being cold. Did Alaska last week of July into August 2019 for DH. Did I enjoy it and would I go back? Absolutely and definitely! Next time will be a land and sea package. The scenery, wildlife and seafood are some of the best. The blue coloration in the chunks of ice we past was the most vibrant blue I’ve ever seen. And who needs to pay for whale watching when I seen soooo many just from the cruise ship. It’s definitely something a person should see and do at least once in their lives!
  18. From port Everglades to FLL is $15.95 pp for one way. Just booked it last week for upcoming 7/1 Adventure cruise for disembarkation day.
  19. Did explorer in July 22. Did not have a washline in the shower and I don’t remember any usb ports. I take magnetic hooks to hang wet clothes on. And of course had a usb charging port with me.
  20. In the cruise planner, where it says about Royal up, you can check the status of your bid. If the bids are listed as expired, then you know you didn’t win the bid. If it says pending, they are considering the bid and most likely will win your bid, but not always. If it says submitted, they haven’t even looked at it yet. I did this for my July Adventure cruise at about 1 1/2 weeks after I submitted my bid on several categories. All but one said expired. The one for a spacious OV balcony cabin said pending. By 9 am the next morning, I had a notification from my cc about a charge to RCL. So I checked my email and at 9:10 am I had the email telling me we won the bid.
  21. Ooooo! I must find and try the mudslide cookies!! I have 3 upcoming cruises so hopefully on one of them I will be able to try them!
  22. We absolutely loved the coconut cookies!! Thanks for posting the recipe!
