  1. Just google RCL special needs form. Then when you go onto the page that google brings up, you fill in your info and click submit. That is what I have done for all 4 cruises I have this year for DH to get distilled water for CPAP machine.
  2. Good thing I booked the UDP when it was on sale a few months ago. Snagged it for $266/pp for my Wonder cruise 12/10. Currently on sale for $288/pp but have seen it priced over $300/pp for same cruise. We plan on Mason Jar brunch on embarkation day.
  3. When we cruised with my MIL, SIL and 2 minor nieces, SIL needed the notarized form. Her last names are the same as the nieces. Ex-BIL complained about wasting his time to go to notary but at least he went so the girls could go and have a good time. As one poster stated, they are apparently starting to enforce this rule. As an ER nurse, who is required to be educated on the subject, I feel this may be due to the crackdown on human trafficking of minors.
  4. FYI: when you buy a dining package, you can not prebook the day and time like you can on NCL. RCL will make a courtesy reservation for day 1 or day 2 of the cruise for whatever restaurant they choose. Once you get on the ship, you will need to head to any restaurant to make your other reservations and /or change the one they made for you. If you pay for them as individual restaurants (not as a package) you can pick a day and time. Also, my time dining (MTD) is not like freestyle dining on NCL. As you know on NCL you can go to the MDR anytime between the opening and closing hours. MTD is a time period between RCLs early and late dining times, so usually 6:30-8:30ish. And they recommend a reservation for the time you want to go. You don’t have to make a reservation but they do have 2 lines to enter the MDR, one for reservations and one for without. IMO, food quality and taste is about the same as NCL. Something are better, some are same, and I wouldn’t say there are many things that are worse. As far as drink packages, we try to figure out how much time we are actually spending on ship and about how much time we will be in the casino. DH is the drinker and gambler, so he qualifies for free drinks in the casino. If we feel we will drink enough to cover the cost of the package, we will purchase it. And we always call because they will let me get the refreshment package and DH the deluxe beverage package since I do not drink. I hope this helps you coming from someone who has sailed NCL 21 times and and RCL 5!
  5. I have liberty on 9/7. The earliest MTD slot I could get was 7:45 every night!
  6. Oh we just got platinum pin on our July adventure of seas cruise. Maybe they had them left over🤷‍♀️
  7. DH and I use the same card. We have had varying amounts for holds on credit card with RCL.m. We have been on 29 cruises total and the other lines we cruised with did the same thing.
  8. I have read that they closed this and apparently it’s not reopening. Has anyone else heard this? If it’s not true, I know DH would love to book it
  9. What sailing are you on? We just booked odyssey for 3/16/24 the other day!
  10. We did chops and Giovanni’s where hubby wore khaki pants and polo shirt and I did a casual summer dress for one and capris with a nice top for the others. There were some people dressed fancier, some in shorts but most were dresed like us. For Izumi which is only sushi, no hibachi, we wore nice shorts and patriotic t shirts because it was 7/4. Shorts seemed to be what most people had on there also. MDR was a mix of all levels of dress but excluding swim attire.
  11. This has restarted. We were given the option on our 7/1-7/8 Adventure of seas cruise out of Fort Lauderdale.
  12. Took 2 minors (2 neices) in June 2011. Their mother was traveling with us but not their father due to a divorce. She needed to have the notarized form back then. I clearly remember this because the father complained about having to waste his time going to the notary!
  13. We usually get a chill island day bed. The first time we got one in 9/21, it was $199. But for 3/23 and 12/23 they priced $299. And in 3/23, we had storms so we only got to use it for 2.5 hours. Now for 3/24 cruise it’s $329. We decided to just try out luck and getting free loungers/umbrella in a good spot. I really do not like RCLs dynamic pricing!!😩
  14. We did deck 6 front row in March because the cruise staff that were there assisting with seating recommended them as being “some of the best seats for seeing everything “. They weren’t wrong!
  15. This is what they are showing for my 12/10 Oasis cruiseNo other over the water cabana options have been offered for this cruise since I booked it at beginning of April. That’s not to say they weren’t offered before I booked the cruise.
  16. Yes and there is also an umbrella between the 2 lounge chairs that come with the day bed
  17. We were just at Coco Cay on 7/7. Not many people had on vests while snorkeling. There are some small sharks in the area, haven’t seen them while snorkeling, but did see 4 nurse sharks that day by the ships pier while standing on my cabin balcony.
  18. Beach beds also have a sign with the name of the party renting it.
  19. People were using them in the ocean water at chill island beach
  20. Yes you would have to pay for a mat, I would recommend doing that in the app or course planner before your cruise because they are a few dollars cheaper then. I have seen the beach beds for $199 on south beach if that price is better for you, but that beach is further away. As others said you can get towels on the island but I can’t tell you exact where because we get them with the beach bed. I did see people using the blow up ones that someone suggested from Amazon, if you want to pack something like that.
  21. We always do chill island because there is some good snorkeling there with a sunken ship. We usually get a chill island beach bed, last time that was $299 and includes up to 4 people. It come with a cooler stocked with 4 waters, 2 lounge chairs, one umbrella, 2 floating mats and of course the covered beach bed. Also no need to take towels from the ship because they are supplied with the beach bed. It’s close to bathrooms, not far from food. We never used the pool because when in the Caribbean we prefer the sea as we can use a pool a home (and on the ship). Enjoy your Perfect Day at Coco Cay!!
  22. Just off adventure on 7/8. Shows were at 7:30 and 9:30. The ice show was offered on 2 different days, one day 7:30 and 9:30 and the other day 6:30 and 8:30. We never had a problem finding a seat but we did go about 15-20 mins prior to show time. The doors open for the shows 1/2 hour ahead of time. Enjoy your cruise!!
