Guided tours Israel was not available for our dates. They were completely booked by one of the ships. one day we we saw Nazareth and Jerusalem. One day Caseria Final day was Galilee

A lot will depend on the guide, and how the 16 are packed in the bus. Last year in Israel, the guide was useless. I would rather take my chances on a large bus with more comfortable seating.

The TV is not a problem during the day. Just find it a problem 6 or 7 in the morning.

Noticed my last answer. It is not a connecting cabin. It seems to be a design flaw with not enough sound proofing for these more modern televisions. Again, not a problem during the day. Just at 5AM

We are in a Concierge cabin on deck 9. The design has the large TV back to back with the cabin next door. The person in the cabin next door appears to be an early riser and play their TV loud enough that the sound comes through the wall. This has never been a problem in many prior cruises on Oceania or other cruise lines. Is this a design flaw in Vista? Not sure what we can do, but do not enjoy being waken up by a neighbor’s TV

Years ago when we did Tunisia, we went by ship tour bus to Carthage and then to souk. Not to much bus time. Nothing in the port area.

We did the small group tour last year in Israel. Small van and full. Better off in a large bus sitting in the back..

Really hard to price free nights. You need to make a spreadsheet to do comparisons. we would normally pay about $1,000.00 per night for a cc suite, after discounts. Sometimes better. when using free nights, you pay full price for the cruise. On our recent redemption, using 6 free nights, for a 7 night cruise we paid about $1,650.00 for the one paid night.

We were able to use the 6 free nights next July on a 7 night cruise. Booked on board combing with another 7 night cruise to do a b2b. Not easy because the loyalty person was new. Price was not confirmed until we got back. Loyalty person screwed up the deposits, so almost had different cabins.

Several years ago when we visited Kirkwall we were able to book a public bus for a complete tour. Went to all the sites and were given time to visit all. I think only a single bus did the tour. Booked at the bus station, first come first served. The driver was not a professional guide, but did some narration. He did have a heavy accent.

I thought boarding times used to be the category you were booked in. I was surprised today by being able to book an 11:30 boarding time as I am only in a cocierege cabin. is this a permanent change?

Getting cash at the end of most cruises isn’t bad. Most times, if the rate is good, I convert the dollars to euros so I have a start for my next trip. I agree, do not want it to go back to the credit card and lose the miles

Have done it both ways. One TA will send a check post cruise, the other prefers to give ROBC.

Our TA will normally give us close to 10 percent in refundable OBC, which we would normally cash out at the end of cruise. While we would do most excursion on our own, there are always a few of ship’s tours that are attractive. Would be nice to have OBC for these, Will wait it out for a better promotion.
